Let me see if I get this.... You're in complete desolation looking for parts in an equally desolate place like Abilene?
Well Abilene used to have a lot of good junkyards years ago, but has at least one good one left (where the owner isn't an @$$hole).
Call Jim Scott's Abilene Auto Wrecking, 4009 Pine Street, (325)-672-8742. If Jim doesn't have any 3rd Gen stuff, he might know who does.
Talk about isolated--only someone like Eagle Eyes could even find my town. I've walked the junk yards of El Paso, Midland/Odessa, Lubbock and most of the little towns in between, found a few 3rd gen hulks, sunburned, forgotten off in corners. If you have room for it, complete parts cars are sitting around for $50 or less, often just for towing them off. There was probably a bunch of good stuff at the Arlington swap meet this weekend--worth the drive.

NOT to promote ebay, but there are usually a bunch of thirdgen parts strippers on there. Once U see the same guys name coming up over and over--even if they do not have the part U want advertised--shoot them an email and ask if they do!--There's a bunch of stuff on my car from "Thirdgen Ranch"
