The Houston TGO Summer "Meet, Eat, and Compete" Event
Cool name for the summer meet!
"I look forward to seeing everyone for a little fun in the sun and friendly competition at the track."
Are u kidding--friendly competition at the track?--I don't think so!--I got some serious butt kicking to take care of!
Originally posted by Zap Racing I wish my car was fast enough that U were on my list, but I do not think I can come anywhere close to U! Not right now anyway!

I guess I'm the only one who ISN'T SKIRRED to race someone that's faster.........for now. You know the more sh*t you talk now is going to be quadrupled when I start drumming YOU. And that could happen as soon as the Summer Gathering! Although no timeframe has been established yet. But all sales are a go! This is starting to take on the Zap-Mikey feud, and you know what happened to him! He who talks the most sh*t..............ask Mikey.

Yup, sorry, that was me.
As far as awards, I dont know. Personally I don't see the point since we just gave awards at the last one. I guess we could give some different ones or something, but I think that should be kept more as a once-a-year thing.

While having a discussion with a very good friend of mine (non-thirdgenner) about the Summer Meet, he asked if we were going to haaave a crawfish boil, and I thought hmmm........
In keeping with the theme/atmosphere of The Houston TGO Summer "Meet, Eat, and Compete" Event, what do ya'll think about having a crawfish boil. Should we, or should we not?
Does anybody have one of those portable propane powered crawfish boiling rigs?
Does anybody have experiance in actually doing it? How long does it take from start to finish before they are ready to eat?
we've got one of the propane boilers as well as a 5 gal. pot, which should be good for about 6-8 lbs. my brother said it takes about 20 minutes to boil them, so we should be fine if yall want to do that. my parents will be coming in our truck so we can bring any other big stuff too.
Sounds like a good idea for the next one! or this one..........

COMMENTS?
I know some people are allergic to shell fish, and some probably don't like to eat crawfish (why i don't know!), but I sure would like to hear from a few people before we make this a part of The "Houston TGO Summer "Meet, Eat, and Compete" Event.
WHAT ABOUT IT PEOPLE--DO WE WANNA INCLUDE A CRAWFISH BOIL IN THE SUMMER MEET?
We can still bring the hibachi and do some hot doggies for those who are not into mudbugs!

Not anymore you can't. Ask Craig. He knows. Or show up at the summer gathering and prove it.
The "I bet" part is very intruiging......................

I'll put the old motor back in, take off the wheelie bars and STILL beat ya like a rented mule. (that IS a picture of my car)

Yup, I just sold the motor and trans out of the car. I finally got the cash from the guy today, and I'm moving on to bigger, better things (like a 12 pt cage and a 4-link back half )

Cale - Dude I'm just busting your balls......... no need to start a pissing match....... Anyways, what's all done to the '88? Is it yours or are you getting an 88?
Barry - I'd have to see it to believe thats your car. Keep the new motor in and wheelie bars on, you'll need it!
the 88 is mine, but it came from a friend of his, so its part his too. At the moment, its a body and nothing else. Front suspension is gone, interior is there but trashed, paint is trashed but the body is straight. Hoping to turn it into a shop car over the next couple of years.
hmm....well I'll definitely have to come take a look at it then, if not just for the extra parts. Don't know that my dad will be too happy about having another car at the shop but oh well. Just a matter of if I get everything done to my car that I need to.

The way a car looks ABSOLUTELY determines it's time in the quarter mile..........
Nice paint job is good for 2 tenths.

Dude, I wasn't talking about the paint....... You need some tuning and wiring clean up work.
I won't poke at ya no more.
I'm not here to make fun of or be-little someone else's hot-rod. So I apologize if I ruffled your feathers. Was just talking smack to everyone while I'm gearing up for the new clutch install.
Because, when it's in, I'll be posting my 1/4 mile timeslip for everyone to see (fast / slow / or indifferent).
