I would love to help you, but my carb tuning knowledge is limited and I am not very good at explaining things. One suggestion I have though is that you do a search on the carb boards, I have found some very helpful info there.
its all good, i have decided as of yesterday ill trade off my carb for a 750 dp and just dive is and see what happens, with the edlebrock i never had to mess with it the car runs good, im sure the holley will be different
Yeah the edelbrock 600 is one of the best out of the box carbs you can get although they are tuned a little on the lean side. A holey double pumper is a whole different animal, it will probably run like crap when you bolt it on. You really need to know how to tune to get it to run just right.
Gene Quick in North Richland Hill does good rebuilding and tuning my holley carb. Tell him what motor you got and mod then he'll get the carb. adjusted just for texas weather and motor. I'm happy with it.
