Looking for a Nice F-Body (almost any gen) in TX

Hey guys, I'm looking for a nice F-Body I can use as a daily driver. I've posted this on other boards, but very little response. Maybe I'm being too picky . Anyway, here are my criteria:

1) Years: I'll consider Firebirds and T/A's from just about any year, up to and including 4th gen (LS1 preferred); Camaros can be a first-gen (67-69), early second-gen (70-73), or late third-gen (90-92), but I'm pretty sure I don't want a fourthgen Camaro, but I suppose I could be convinced otherwise
2) Condition: It has to be clean, and in good shape. I don't want to fix hardly anything. I'm looking for something really nice. No body work, interior work, or mechanical work other than very minor things that I could do in an afternoon. I need to begin driving this car to work the day after I buy it.
3) Color: Not too picky Prefer black, grey/silver, or red. Would consider green, blue, or tan (if a late second gen T/A). Might consider other colors, but probably nothing white or yellow--unless it's a TTA!
4) Engine: It's gotta have a V-8: Carbed, TPI, LT1, or LS1. No TBI or Crossfire. Will also consider a V-6, but only in a TTA
5) Trans: Not really picky here: Auto (unless it's a powerglide) or Standard (unless it's a 3-speed) is fine.

My first choice would be a NICE 87-92 Trans AM/GTA with digital dash and steering wheel controls OR a 70-73 Camaro (any trim level or engine).

Close second would be a NICE 70-81 Trans AM

Very close third preference would be a very nice 4th gen T/A with Ram Air hood.

Re: Looking for a Nice F-Body (almost any gen) in TX

Well, I've been looking at cars that are priced as low as 5k all the way up to cars around the 15k mark. Honestly, cars less than 5k need more work than I would like to take on. And in order for me to spend much more than 10k it would have to be a car I really, REALLY love.

Tell me more about your car and what you would take for it. You never know.

You know, you should look at Zap Racing's Camaro. I'm not sure what year it is. It is a third-gen but I know it isn't a '91-'92 and it is white. But it is looks/runs great.

His widow Sue, had Barry85Iroc bring it out to the meet Saturday. It is in good shape. I believe it was Craig's daily driver. It has loads of bolt on parts and I believe it runs a mid 13 in the 1/4.

I know exactly the car you're talking about. I saw this car when I went over to Craig's house one day to buy a set of TPI fans. I don't think I could live up to such a car , and yes, it isn't quite what I'm looking for.

I would be interested in hearing more about this. Do you think you could find out what they are asking and if they have an ad posted online somewhere? I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

Looked at the price today, they want $3000. Its clean and I would buy it if I had the money but just spent over $2000 on mine the last month. Its white with black stripes, roof looks good on it as well.

Still looking. Will consider 4th gen camaros now, too if they are in nice shape and the price is right.

Bringing this back from the dead. I'm still looking. I will definitely consider 4th gens with an LS1.
