Waco, Texas third gens?

For some time now I've been seeing a couple third gens cruising around my town, but I don't know any of the owners.

I own a pure black 1985 Trans Am, originally 305 TPI, but now a carbed 305 from an 85' Caprice.

I am looking for some people to gather around with, meet, and possibly exchange ideas.

If you live in Waco, and own a thirdgen, post here.

I used to live in Waco, but I don't go up that way very often these days. If you're interested we have a club in Austin and we have regular meets.

Re: Waco, Texas third gens?

I would but I run 3.8's in my rear end and off of a 305 with a 700R4 - torque converter (solenoid is bad) I turn 3,500 RPM on any kind of interstate going over 60. So driving down there would use a full tank of gas probably, inconvenient. But if you ever head up here send me a message, I would be happy to meet you.

I live in Lacy Lakeview (right next to connally) and in Elm Mott right next to the Elm Mott Center, not attending school right now, but next spring or fall (haven't decided) I'll be going for automotive technology in TSTC. Should stop by one day.

Wassup mane, reppin Waco here. I have two GTAs a 1991 with 61,000 in Bright Red I am trying to trade for a black one with similar miles and condition. I also have a 1989 Paxton S/C 350 TPI with about 64,000 miles. Many other T/As as well. My 3rd Gens aren't registered as of now, but I usually can be seen in my 02 WS6 3x black with the 335/30-17 out back and about 500 h.p. on tap!

Re: Waco, Texas third gens?

Well, mines not pushin any horsepower as I pulled the engine about 10 months ago. Turns out someone put a damn non-roller Chevy truck block in it with the crappy swirl port heads. It's been sitting on jack stands in the driveway since then. I ran outta cash building my new engine, but I should be able to finish it up here in the next month or two. Won't be anything too special, though. Std bore '97ish 350, honed, forged pistons, Canfield 195cc heads, HSR, CC306 cam, Comp Pro Magnum 1.52 roller rockers. Only a 2 bolt main, so I studded them.

Re: Waco, Texas third gens?

Hey all I have is a stock 305 so your doing good or will be. It really sucks to have a 305 tbi when my girl has a 406 pushing nearly 500hp. But she just babys it and has only really got on it once. Of coarse I was following her and she left me.
