Houston area July 25th show BB-Q - Please Sign Up!

As most of you already know, we usually have a decent BB-Q at our bigger gatherings. The success of this depends on everyone bringing at least one item and actually bringing that item to the show. Please sign up for an item that you would like to bring and more importantly (show up for the show)!

Items needed: paper plates, charcoal, lighter fluid, hotdogs, drinks (can's preferably), cooler with bags of ice, any plastic utensils, paper or styrofoam cups, aluminum foil, hotdog buns, and any other item(s) you would like to bring...

Just remember, it's not a good idea to bring alcohol, so please refrain from bringing it! I know it sucks, but Harris County Sheriffs patrol that park regularly and we don't want to get in trouble or get run-off from the park.... Plenty of time to drink after we leave the show.

Sign up:

I will be bringing: 1 pack of paper plates and 1 pack of hotdogs.

Mrs. Zap (Sue) seems to be doing alright. I just talked to her a few days ago. She said she might have the guy who bought Craig's car bring it to the show. She said she will try to make the gathering and who knows, maybe she will bring her famous tater salad!

Updated list:

1bad91Z - 1 pack of paper plates and 1 pack of hotdogs.

sailtexas186548 - a bag (large) of charcoal and lighter fluid+lighter

one92rs - a couple pounds of deer sausage and a couple two liter cokes.

BADMAN - a large pan of potato salad

So far, we're doing great! Keep it coming guys/gals, still short on some items..... like paper towels, utensils, cups, ice, cooler for drinks, more drinks.....

If you can make it, just bring a box of frozen Hamburger patties (1 box of a dozen patties or so) would be fine, if that's what you had in mind?

You are more than welcome to bring the ribs if you would like, I was just thinking to keep it simple and fast (someone or more than one person is going to have to cook all of this), so we want to make it somewhat easy for that person or people to do so...........

Since a pavillion is no longer an option, are we trusting that we can find
a spot with a pit somewhere in the park? Or can someone commit to
a portable type, like an Old Smokey or something?

There are dozens of pits, in addition to the ones at the pavilions. Almost every picnic table has one.

the Houston Meet is at Bear Creek Park which is located at Clay and Eldridge around about... as far as utensils I got that much covered and if there is anything else we need I can chip in... You guys can feel free to email me anytime.. I may actually need some help from a couple of you guys on some projects that I got going on... Like a clean up of the intake and valve covers as well as clean up the engine compartment....
