I looking for the right year "S-10" tq converter. part number? I know it is for a 4.3 v6, I'm just not finding what year is the one we use for our cars... Thanks, Jeff
Well, I installed one in my 1992 green b4c when i had it and man did it come alive, the "S10's" have a higher stall like 2200 or so behind are v8 they stall 1800 or so behind a 4.3 v6 so it a great way to get a few tenth out of the car with out spending alot of money on a tq converter, and yes they hold up as i was running high 11.7 with the last one about 2 years before i sold the car, with no problems. I just can't rember what year it was and i tryed looking it up.. but so Many Post....and no luck..so if you can help thanks a million. Jeff
I just looked on Ebay and found the converters stalling speed of 24-28 for about 140$ give or take shipped, with a warranty. You might as well go that route. I am.

Seem like alot. Goto a local junk yard. get one outa a wrecked s10. I picked mine up for $60bucks.
Yea, a used one that might have trash in it, no real waranty and could be damaged from a wreck, not to mention, it could have been swapped from a car like you already had and you would never know.

I guess it depends on the yard. I know the owner pretty good as I use to do chrome & powder coating work for a few other companies he ones too.
I see your point in not knowing how the last owner treated the truck it came out of. I haved prices any decent convertes for years. My last good one was a P.I Vigilante and cost a ton.
if a ebay S10 converter cost $140 + shipping. whats a B&M or something cost from summit?
