Getting ready to trade my Trans Am for this....

1976 Camaro I had a 78 Camaro in HS 20 years ago and it will be nice to get into that body style again.

I'm leaving around lunch time today to head over to MS, if everything goes good we are going to swap title for title.

Crawl up underneath that machine and look at the front part of the rear frame rails.
The part where they turn up in front of the rear axle. Rust? Look at the a-pillar at the base where the corner of the dash meets the windshield. Rust? Common failures on second gens and hard to fix. Nice looking car though.

Re: Getting ready to trade my Trans Am for this....

Cars is in my driveway now, everything looks good and in great shape.

FWIW I had a thumbs up at a stoplight, the guy next to me said he liked the car and invited me to the racetrack next weekend.

Another guy at the gas pump came up and started talking to me about the car and how his buddy had one years ago.

My two hour trip home drew a lot of stares and attention....in the positive way.

I owned my 3rd gen since march or so and NEVER had anything positive like that while driving the car.

I'll still lurk on this site a bit, but I'm heading over to nastyz28 now.

Re: Getting ready to trade my Trans Am for this....

****, try having a third gen camaro, blacked out, camming mega hard with a big 4 inch cowl hood...

I get tons of conversation and the thumbs up and grin at red lights....or after i dust someone.

Weird, my 86 TA doesnt start much conversation, and if it ever does, it is,"Is that an IROC?"....idiots.
