ok so there has been a bunch of meets/events posted up this week that are all this weekend. i put each event in a list, and who has committed to each event. I think it would be nice if we could try to get more of us at one or two meets rather than spreading out over 5 or 6. Im unsure of what im doing, i would like to go to the track but its gonna be a LONG drive :/

Friday - 1. - There is a RKC Houston Meet every Friday night, it is always in the same place. Come one come all.

1.No Revving or Burning Out
2.No Fighting, Drama, or Bullshit

6.Leave and enter the GTG area like a mature adult

Saturday - 1. - Otto's? It is near 8 and 59 South. I generally make it out there once or twice a month on Saturday night.
2. - Texas A&M sports car club and BCSSTREET is headed to sealy for some drag racing saturday, i would LOVE to go racing with a group of third gens
Gates open at 6 p.m. Track opens from 7-11 p.m.
ENTRY FEE: $10
TECH CARD: $10 ($20 TOTAL TO GET IN & RACE)
STUDENTS: $5 (MUST HAVE STUDENT ID)
KIDS UNDER 12: FREE

3. - he LSXN meets are good, many camaros, birds and vettes and what not. The 2920 meet we have been doing again has been GREAT, but i think it might have slowed with the cold weather.

now just to figure out where everyone is going. which meet. i have been thinking of going to the otto meet. havent been there yet. i think eric goes to that one pretty ofter.

i would be fine with ottos, there is another thread in our section with some 3rd gen only meet, so hopefully we can actually get something together this weekend! and while im in town ill run by the inspection place if you need ^

well if we go to 517, there will be me, one91, antsZRS, 92_t5?, justin trifilo, esc, thats 5. and we could really go where ever from there, kemah... ottos... sealy... depends how much everyone wants to drive. i'm still down for a trip to sealy, a few 3rd gens all pitted next to each other would be cool. anyways, i'm down for whatever, i have no restrictions/distance hang-ups so its up to those who do!

also i will be there but not im my third gen. its still in its coma. waiting on my heads and it should be back up and running!

well while you all were looking at each others cars and checking out the other cars.. I was tearing apart my motor.. Got one head donewith new valve springs ... checked all my roller lifters with no issue, cam installation and discover flat top speed pro hypertunic pistons 2 valve relief.... Only thing i was thinking about was since its all apart adding roller rockers... what do you guys think better or stamp stock crap birds.. my motor has a mild cam so the more roller stuff the better i think less friction more hp...

Need a question answered... need to find out which roller rockers to go with. I'm leanign more towards the comp cams steel rockers because they will match the cam i have... Here's my question... I have a comp cam (mild 218) I want self aligning 1.6 that clear my normal rise centerbolt valve covers. Don't wanna break the bank either so under 3 would be good. I wanna know what my options are and whether or not i'll need new push rods. I'm changing the springs now to what comp cams reccommended. Looking for what you guys would use as far as roller rockers and push rods (if needed)... Never done this much stuff to a motor so i'm alittle new at what everything means... 1BAD91Z chimed in via pm to use the crane cams roller rockers 1.6 self aligning.. only thing is i'm not sure if our heads are 3/8 or 7/16... help... wanna get what i need to put her back together completely

well you know that crane cams has went out of buisness. i will go completely comp when i do mine. we use there cams. we trust everything for the most part that they say. top engine builders all over the world use there stuff. you cant go wrong with them. procarastinating isnt getting that engine done either.

lol good point but i'm working on it... you never mentioned what comp cam roller rockers to use though.. I'm thinking 1.6 ratio self aligning steel but not sure if i need the 3/8 or the 7/16 ... any one know what the stud size on stock 64cc l98 heads are?
