Ok, so Im having bad luck with my vehicles lately. My camaro has been having clutch issues for a couple of weeks now, and yesterday the trans in my DD truck went out. Anyone in the area rebuild 700r4s on the cheap? I paid $500 for a guy working out of his buddy's shop (I know it sounds shady, but it was just $500) to rebuild this trans about 4 months ago, and it came with a 6 month warranty from him. I called today to let him know it went out and needs rebuilt again, and was informed he was recently arrested for drug trafficking. Or if anyone as a good 700r4 laying around, Id be more than happy to take it off your hands.....

Ah, thanks for the heads up! I should come to a NTTGA meet sometime. Is it pretty much the same thing as we did in Arlington? I have always thought their was some weird hierarchy or something with them. Probably get that from some of the signatures I see. Like prez of nttga, etc.

I'm probably lighting a fuse on this one, but why do they meet so far up north in Grapevine? So before someone explodes on me, remember it's just a question. Seems like more people are more inclined to make it to a central location in DFW.

Wish I could make the TX statewide, that is going to be awesome for sure! I expect to see plenty of pics

well, Grapevine is considered mid cities, but I know what you mean. I like arlington as a location too, or we could rotate is to be fair.

I live in North Carrollton & I know a couple of people live in the North Plano, Frisco area. There is people from Garland & Mesquite here too........
Grapevine seems pretty much in the middle to me.........

I'm in Forney. Mesquite and Garland are only about 15 to 20 minutes away. Plano/Frisco are about 45-minutes to an hour away. So Grapevine is an easy hour from where I live. Possibly more.

Waxahachie. I'm currently getting my car ready for an engine swap so it will be some time before I could bring the car out to any kind of get together.

I live in Mesquite...If I go I would want to bring my IROC, but with a 406 and 4.56 gears I would never make it there!! LOL!

I think it's time to have another DFW gathering.... who's interested? I'm thinking Tom's Diner in North Arlington, Early March. Should have better weather than we had last year in last January.

I'm in Addison and I'm just getting around to restoring my 91 RS TBI. I'm thinking LS3 Supercharged or LS7

I've been thinking about sending the car off to Hawk's but I'm really wanting to be a part of the rebuild, as in making visits, taking pics and seeing the car transform before my eyes. The problem is finding a mechanic who knows the third gen/LS swap.

Does any one in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area no of anyone with experience in this swap?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

the swap isnt too hard aas long as you have everything needed and dont take shortcuts
wiring harness and ecu needs to be complete and will make the job alot easier!

Just got my car repainted, all new interior, and now the block is ruined by a broken starter "mount". About to buy a crate 400hp+ 383 stroker, if anyone wants to lend a hand in the swap, be happy to pay in both money and beer!

I also don't have a truck/cherry picker, planning on renting one.

for those of you interested in another gathering, I'm thinking saturday, march 19, mid afternoon in arlington. Probably Tom's grill off of I30 and cooper, but I'll post more details later on a different thread.

The NTTGA has their meetings on Sundays now, so I thought saturday would be cool for those of us (like me) who can't usually make a sunday meeting. For those of you not familiar with the NTTGA, check them out, it's a cool group

Hey this might be a little off topic but I need some work done and I've looked at the installers index and it hasn't been updated in over a year.... I've got a 86 CCcarb 305...to a holly carb 350 that i cannot get to run....I bought the car cheap and it would be a great runner but I can't get it to kick off it turns over but that's all....anyone around here do work on the side or wanna help me out??? I'm willing to pay if I have too I live in south ft worth almost Crowley area...

Come by hay's automotive tomorrow between 10 and 2. The owner, keith, is having a car show, and my band is playing there. Keith is a great guy and he would be glad to talk shop with you. I've driven my car 60 miles for him to work on it, I trust him that much.
