I was there and pretty pissed.

I understand WHY the race was cancelled, but I don't know why there was not extensive testing at the track under the proper conditions. And at the last minute......

I respect their decision, but they're just now finding this out? How long has TMS been open now? I'm all for driver safety, but why cancel 2 hours before the race? I saw on the news where some amateurs were running some laps at about 3 g's (I bet that can wear on a guy after a while). Anyway, the guy got out of the car and couldn't walk straight! I guess cart is researching with the military and their docors on developing a pressure suit for drivers similar to what pilots wear.

Yeah it was a pretty disappointing deal, but I agree with the decision 100%. It is not a matter of 'WHY DIDNT CART COME TEST MORE' anymore, but simply a matter of the drivers couldnt race SAFELY on sunday.

I'd rather them cancel the race and me be disappointed than have them race and wreck d/t being passed out.

and no, i dont think they'll be coming back.

FYI, TMS is booked for the rest of the year, so they'd most likely be back on a weekday.
