Need some parts Houston!

Doing a check to see if you guys have some of the parts I may need just laying around... I need the following

- a/c condenser
- red rear cargo panel with light
- rear view mirror with map lights

you guys let me know if you got any of it... maybe work out a trade... I have some things that I'm taking off that i'm not going to use. An autometer tach, AVS blackout rear lens, stock red metalic painted centerbolt valve covers, or stock suspension parts... lower control arms etc

Re: Need some parts Houston!

The rear cargo panel is sometimes shallow or deep depending if the hatch has the auto down feature or is an older model. Also, there are many shades of red interiors.

Re: Need some parts Houston!

I'm always interested in trading parts if I have something you need. I have an after market tach but not sure how well it works... Also rear tail light covers by AVS. I can meet up with any of you guys during the weekend wherever? Maybe we should set up a swap meet if anyones interested? I found a local guy that can give me the door handles and console for around 20 bucks so I won't need those anymore... I'm not sure how much of the ac system I will need because as it stands now the condenser is missing as are the o rings to the compressor.. Not sure how long its been open... Antz... 50 bucks and I'll only really need the a/c stuff and the power steering pump with the bracket... I can give you mine if you wanna swap so you can still have the brackets? My setup is off the car and being prepped to be blasted... Or I could do your brackets as well so you can sell them for more... up to you pm me and let me know..

PS- I don't mind helping you guys out if you need... I'm polishing and blasting a lot these days so if you need something blasted or polished I can throw it in the pile and take care of it for you...

do you have an air compressor. if so you can get an adapter from the auto parts as well as the tool to remove the srings. fill the cylinder with air and use the tool. its easy.

I still recommend that you turn each cylinder to TDC on the compression stroke when changing the springs. That way you don't have to worry about the valve falling and you can adjust your rocker arms at the same time.

Re: Need some parts Houston!

So... valve springs are all changed except for 2... was real late and didn't wanna finish.. anyways... I started tearing apart the interior of the car starting with the bad carpet. Buddy of mine had good black carpet so out with the redish sun faded orange and in with the black... So after that was done i started looking into what the guy i bought the car said was wrong starting with the speedometer... turns out the needle is broken. so its either try and fix it or replace the whole cluster which i am leaning towards.. also i noticed that the steering column wiggles too much for me and the brights function is completely broken. so I'm considering changing the whoel steering column.. with all that said I wanted to see if you guys have any of these laying around.

-steering column with vats
-guage cluster
-red front seatbelt recievers
-rear red cargo panel with light

the rest of it i got coming to me from a friend who totalled his 90 except his steering column was trashed due to the accident as was his guage cluster. Side impact crushed or shattered the parts i need... please let me know either through pm or I may hit up the WHM meet this friday. If there is something i may have you need lay it on me.. I can find pretty much anything given the right amount of time.

Hey Eric does it have the key and vats to go with it.. setup for delay wipers, cruise control, tilt? What part of town are you at again? Wait must be the one that came out of the shell you were getting rid of right? Yeah.. if everything works and all i gota do is plug and play i would say you sir have yourself a deal... depending on where you are I can met up with you somewhere and just drive to your place... My car is around Westhiemer and Eldridge area... you familiar? Oh badz whats your price on the cluster? Don't really bother me if its even a 115 would just like to tell how fast I'm actually going.. Guy before me broke the speedo needle and reset i guess when doing white face covers... i totally need 2 post more pics of the car while i'm thinkin bout it..

I never used it, so I can't say for sure that everything works but I have no reason to think that it doesn't. I'll double check today but I think it has everything you are asking for.

I know for sure it is has tilt and the key.

It is in SW houston, Stafford to be exact. Near 59 and Beltway-8, I'll be out there this afternoon if you want to come take a look.

I checked the ohms on the keys fromt he two columns and they are not the same.. you guys know where i can get a blank with the right chip for my stock vats? If I can't find them I'm just going to bypass the vats with the right resistor..

Thanks for coming out to get it. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

BTW, I moved this thread to the "classifieds" section so that I could leave you some feedback (check your "classifieds rating"). I hope you don't mind. I left a permanent re-direct in South Central.

I also noticed that I have a rear view mirror with map light. Do you still need one?

Re: Need some parts Houston!

They are both 145 mph clusters. 1 is $100.00, the other is $75.00. The $75.00 has a couple bent corners on the flimsy printed circuit board on the back, probably still works, but that thing could be transferred from any junk cluster to this one if it needs it.

Let me know either way if you are interested.

Thanks,
Mike

ThirdGen Camaro. significant amount of body work is require on doors and fenders, but front bumper cover is completely crack at the mounting point on driver side so it dangles off right now.

Re: Need some parts Houston!

That helps some, but there are at least 4 (probably more) different styles of front bumper covers that came on third gen Camaros.

If you want to find parts that will actually fit you need to be VERY specific about the year and trim level.

You should also probably have your own thread instead of hijacking this one.

Finally ,make sure that you place that thread in the south central classifieds section.

OK, that is the end of my unsolicited advise.

4 different styl bumpers? Are you serious? Most if not all look exactly the same with the exception of early 80's camaro. I thought the only thing that changed was the ground effects. I'm a newb so forgive me but no problem I'll start a new thread. Thanks

Probably, how many do you need?
I have a couple of complete TPI setups, I might part with 1 clip, but I hate to break up a set of anything.

I'm about to swap my interior for a dark grey one, but I need the rear panel (covers the hatch latch) and the spare tire cover. If anyone has those I have lots of stuff to trade...
