shagwell-- looks like the villas, i work at bell tower. sweet ride
92trans- thanx for the advance notice on the autocross. wanted to make the last one, but couldnt get off work. shag, you should definetly go.
thanks for the complements guys! - actually its in Alva, right by the locks on the north side of the river. - I'll be lucky if I've even got to start working on it buy March 4th. This land barge is going on a major diet. I'm tired of blowing trannies out on the ground/I wanna go 10's all motor...then spray it!
I'm not giving up my a/c, pwr windows/locks, etc, so I'm going full-frame and eliminating ALL unibody structure. As it stands, 4161 w/ me(160 at the time) and a 1/2 tank, I intend on being down to around 3k

you third genners in palm beach and fort pierce/lower PSL, not sure on a date yet but we should get together for a test/tune at moroso one of these days(after my camaro is track ready)
I've actually never been there (Moroso). How expensive is it to drive in and tear down the strip? What's it like for a day and is there any sort of longer-term races of several laps around or is it all 1/4 mile type deals?

ahhhh, Moroso Motorsports Park, the most azz-backward track in the world. the first half of track is asphalt, the rest is concrete... - ever wonder why your 60fts suck?

- I wish the car could be done by then...unfortunately, other projects have to come first...hopefully I'll be started by then though...

Some guy came up to me and talked about my car though, said he had one just like it and he was tempted to do the LT1 swap like mine had.
Mateo-
You should have let me know....I would have met you up there. Then at least there would have been two of us....
Lack of showing does not surprise me though, when I proposed a meeting on January 20, no one showed - I was the only person. t least I ate good at Fanagin's
Shagwell......Alva is an intersting little town. If you sneeze you'll miss it. Pass though it all the time on my way to visit my grand father in Punta Gorda.

It seems every year Moroso gets worse. Track prep never seems to be consistant and I think they forget they even have VHT.

Hmmmm, where abouts on Cypress Creek Road and what time? I drive it every day and I live near it, but I do not recall seeing anything matching that description...
riverveiw ... thats not that far from brandon. does anybody here ever meet at bradenton any track meets? i know the westpalm f-body club was gonna do somethin' awhile back but i believe it was rained out. i would be nice to see some quick thirdgens getting it at the track ya know what i mean.
ahhaaa! the ignition probs are gone and ole' red runs again. it revs like its angry , all igotta do now is break in the new rear and and cross my fingers
anyone know of a powerglide for sale in palm beach area, let me know if you or any of your friends have one sitting in a shed or garage that you want to get rid of, thanks
autocrossing is in north fort myers they have a 1 mile course, its really fun. if you go on saturday, it $20 to run all day, that includes school and lunch, not bad price to pay i think!
shag, are you close to the civic center, or a lot farther east? my brother hangs out there, but i only go out that way to put in jetskis. where is moroso?
yea, ive heard about it, my mom lives in homestead and ive heard there are some nice cars out there...if its still around..it was a while back that i heard about it...
ive heard about it also. one guy said it was the first saturday and another guy said he went last month but it was like the third or forth saturday of the month.
- WckdDudeMan - awww, come on man, nothing wrong with an LT1 intake. -
- 92transam16 - so where's this T56 you're giving me so I can be there??????I can stuff it in in one night, but ya coulda gave me a week atleast...
- burnieslo - The parents house(= garage for car) is right at the locks on the north side of the river(east of the civic center about 7-8 miles) I actually live in town, right by colonial and fowler...
yet someone else who's afraid of "the black box"...
- A TPI 4x4 Tahoe and a blown TPI 4x4 suburban would probably scare the crap out of ya then, huh? Electronics are simple. Besides, he could be just swapping the motor and running his factory ecu/harness...
shag- my girl lives right by page field across from villas elementary. you got along drive to pick up your car! but i understand i just moved and lost my garage
i'm replacing my rear end and adding SFC's. but i need a good body shop to check and alighn my uni body. do you know anyone good in town?
ive seen the messes that truly radical swaps make(3.8 in place of a 2.8/3.1, 3400 in that same spot, electronically controlled 4 speed tranny) tracking down wiring errors are not fun... add in the general hassle of doing a swap in the first place on fwd cars... grrr, add in 92 degree weather, sunshowers, red ants, and no decent breeze and have to crawl around in the dirt while your working makes for a very annoying place to do anything(i did a full trim swap, and half of a motor swap before I gave up due to issues[hydraulic jack on the engine lift breaking was last straw] had the junkyard haul the parts car off, 40 when it was basically stripped, only paid 100$ though.)
I dont have the luxury of a driveway, or garage, or shop for that matter, to work in.
Thats why I make sure not to have any "wiring errors". I also wire as good as, if not better, than factory wiring. Solder and heat shrink everything, route through factory looms, etc...
burnieslo - a good buddy of mine works at a body/paint shop off of cargo dr. They have a frame machine, and they do excellent paint work.
- When I had my accident in my car(several years ago) Gene's, off metro, pulled the frame square...(slight tweak by steering box)
