This is the "before" run with stock aluminum intake and quadrajet carburetor and stock air cleaner. It made a dismal 210-228 hp and 242-245 ftlbs at the wheel. Probably close to 300 at the crank. But it sounded really good!

There seems to be quite a few third geners in the Huntsville area. Maybe we should arrange to all meet one weekend at the track or something.

Wonder if I could get all the way to the track with no tag and just turn-downs on headers....I'd like to see that 406 run.
Heck, I made it to the dyno in Cullman and back

Z28IROC2NV....I second that. It would be good to have a few 3rd gen reps. We talked about a get-together last year but we never made it happen.

There's also a huge car show at the Delphi plant in Decatur we could meet at. Most of the cars are drivers (street cars). Super chevy would be fun too because we could run on the track too.

Do y'all want to start a "roll call" for Super Chevy-Huntsville??

I'm will make it. Don't know if I'll bring the car though....I sprayed it last week and didn't like it so I'm in the process of sanding it back down.

Do any of you want to try to get together at the Sonic in Madison (Hwy 72) on a coming-up Friday night before the weather gets too cold--say Nov. 2??

Boo.

Hell, me and "Black Betty" would be there but I'm going to be in Merrietta GA on the 2nd. No tag, no insurance, no mufflers, no problem. Atleast I'm not an illegal alien.
How about on the 9th? I'd like to see that 3rd gen with a BBC.

Re: Anyone from Alabama? What do you drive?

That may work. Also, there's a big cruise-in every first Wednesday of the month at Dariy Queen on Hwy 72 in Madison (6PM). I made it for the October one (only third-gen....heck, only Camaro there). We could try to start meeting up there in the spring (i'm not sure they do it all winter).

There's not an active F-body club in the area.....would anybody be interested in doing that? If we could get ten people with third gens, we could do a third-gen only club. The Mustangs and Corvettes have a pretty big following in Madison county. I've talked to several of those guys and they say they have a lot of fun with their clubs.

.......just ideas. This thread got a lot of responses that made me think we ought to try to start something regular, like a cruise in somewhere.
