Accident... my T-tops literally saved me.

I just got out of the hospital...

I was going around a corner and someone passed me.. I hit the gas instead of the brakes and I started jamming at both at the same time, I just lost it. I remember spinning out of control, then i compensated but I lost it again the other way... i went airborne over the median and flew into a dumptruck and i spun the dumptruck and then a semi drove up onto my car... literally the t-tops saved me because they just crushed in if i had a hard top i would have been smooshed.. the semis front tire was on my chest, i had to kick my shoes off and climb out while some ******* was pulling on my shirt, then i got out and everything erupted in flames and i started spitting blood.. i woke up in the ambulance and then passed out again and i was in the trauma room... they kept me over night just in case.. had to get stitches in my eye and stuff. trying to find the pictures but here's a link:

Glad you're alive, dude. That did look nasty. Sorry about the car, but you know what, thank it and give it the sendoff (or comeback) it deserves for giving it up for you.

Glad your OK,
I would consider editing your first post "Some ******* was pulling my shirt" probably all he could get ahold of and saved your life.

I have had a similar catasrophe in a 2000 cavalier z24.
one night I was cutting up some corners going way faster than I should. it rained that day previously. my back tires slid out from under me in a sharp turn and hit the bank of a river. sent me rolling a few times. Finally the car stopped rolling when it went into the water.
the bad thing is that it was fully submerged in water, upsidedown.
due to several flips, the roof was completely flattened. every window was smashed except the sunroof lol.

Just wasnt our time to go I guess.

Nice to hear your ok, but to say that about someone who most likely is the reason you didn't burn in you car is kind of distasteful. If that was all the guy could grab be happy that he did.

It's weird how small you can make yourself when you have to.
I think the big "G" man upstairs just likes people like us.
Here's mine from 1989 when a 18-wheeler pulled his trailer across both lanes in dense fog. I buried my work truck under the trailer.
Made the news on two channels and got a down payment for a house.
Oh yes, and 13 stitches...
~Got seatbelts?~
They saved me.

This is an old thread, I've seen pictures of that Iroc before and I assumed the driver had to be killed. I'll never complain about my t-tops leaking again lol. They at least do something right.

What kind of an ******* remark was that? It happens to the best of people at times with these kind of accidents. Keep talking and it just may happen to you!
