Hey Guys,
Sorry I haven't piped in but have been busy up in Beaufort. When are you thinking of getting together? I may be in. We have the airshow coming up the weekend of April 21/22 so that will be a no go for me. If we do anything on Saturdays it would have to be later vice early. (kids baseball games)

Absolutely Eric,
Washing is more than I was able to do this weekend. Two boys and baseball season...the wonderful life of fatherhood. But at least they come out and help with the Roc as they call it.

Yeah I got the flexplate fixed. The blue angels crash is a sad ordeal. I launched on it with a helicopter to oversee it. It sucks.

Being in the coast guard, the hardest flights to take are the ones that oversee our comrades demise.

Re: The Official Savannah Thread

I hear ya on that one. My heart just goes out to his family and friends. Someone lost a son, brother, dad, husband, friend. As to all the rest of the soldiers, and all situations. Take Virginia Tech Massacre, some people are sick. If your going to kill someone kill your self dont take 30 something people with you, and most of all "young adults" that have not even started their life yet. Makes me sick, but I want to try to shoot for May 12th or 13th, for a weekend meet and greet. Show off our rides and make introductions. Hooters is fine with me, as mentioned above its easy to find. Room is a must, if anyone has any other suggestions, feel free. Around 2 or 3 p.m. Ill be ok with moving it to a weekend before or after, for people who have other obligations. Just say when, well be cool guys and be safe. Catch youll later.

May 13th would work great for me. The weekend of the 5th is the wifes B-Day and we are going to do something Im not sure she has decided yet what I want to do for her birthday. Saturdays become a pain for me unless like we do it late. I will check my baseball schedule and see what time our game is on the 12th.

Sounds good, though you're the only one to reply in almost two weeks... Maybe if we just keep the topic alive, more people will notice. I have 2 more people that I know that would be willing to attend, so including me and you, that would put us at a whopping 4 cars. There's a local police officer that I could get in touch with, to see if he would want to bring his. He's got a pretty sweet ride, I'm sure he wouldn't mind showing it off. Possibly 5 then...

Folks,
Just returned from a 7 month deployment and just swapped out my intake to a Bigmouth/AS&M Runner system and am up for just about anything. I have to go to Charleston Saturday morning to buy my son a dirt bike but Sunday would be good for lunch or something.

Heya lthrneck, welcome back, and thank you for your job over there. Glad to have another member interested. I think Sunday sounds good, but as jer4251 suggested, maybe we need to get the word around for a little bit longer. But hey you never know, we may get enough people to do it by next weekend. I would think about 10 cars would make it worthwhile.

Re: The Official Savannah Thread

WOW I forgot I was still subscribed to this thread!

I sold my 88 Iroc back in September to the guy I bought it off of in 2005, she ran strong but needed new bushings, struts, paint, interior........anyway any time you can buy a car, throw some bolt ons at it, take it from a running on seven cylinders high ten second eighth mile slug and get it into the low 9's in the 8th and pull a 14.34 quarter out of it then sell it for about what you got in it two years later you have done ok.

I still have my wife's old reliable V6 '91 RS, but it's in the garage with the intake ripped off getting some vacuum leaks repaired right now. And I'm real good about taking something apart and turning it into a three month odyssey, because it got warm out and the old 15' boat has me distracted.

I used to get together with some folks from www.sethirdgen.org including Tony91rs that has posted on this thread, but it seems everyone in that group either moved out of the state or got a new job that just keeps 'em busy, couldn't even get a cookout together last summer.

I will keep getting back here though, and if I can work it out, I will meet up with folks some time.

OH YEAh and just to let ya know Titan-

That old Sams on Ogeechee and 516 has big NO TRESSPASSING signs all over the parking lot, since Sam's moved the place became an impromtu truck stop which in turn attracted lot lizards and vendors of street pharmacuticals if you catch my drift, so I don't know if that's a good meeting place!

No way, really? Well crap... I'm glad you posted that... It would have sucked to get out there and then find that out... When we get enough people interested, we can decide on a meeting point that would be convenient for everyone, as well as legal.

Yeah, if it was daytime it may have been one thing, but at night the local SD would ticket you for tresspassing I am pretty sure.

Re: The Official Savannah Thread

Well,
Sorry to say but I sold my formula, and I have moved on to C4 Vettes.
I will always miss my wonderful bird, but the corvette world has alot of supportive people and a huge aftermarket of companies that only do corvettes.

Willie, I am glad you made it back safe.

Be good peeps.
