Warning: Don't buy from Thirdgenrach on ebay

Got ripped off to the tune of $370.50 from this dirtbag who stole my money and won't send me my parts. Doesn't return emails and appears to enjoy stealing peoples hard earned cash!!!

Re: Warning: Don't buy from Thirdgenrach on ebay

did you pay with paypal? There are too many scum bags out there. My paypal is only connected to a credit card with a small limit. I've had 2 instances where the seller took my payment (and many others i discovered) for something then just dissappeared! I simply call my credit card company and tell them that I was scammed and the automatically refund my money while they investigate. The reason i use a credit card to charge back is, paypal takes up to 30 days to investigate. They tell you that you may or may not get a refund. I hope you paid with a credit card. If you did call your credit card company and dispute the charges.
----------
If that doesn't work you can create new B.S ebay names and bid up everything he has listed up to rediculous bid until he refunds your money.

His name is denny, he is a moderator on this site. Ive bought a few things from him and have no complaints. He is a little slow at answering emails ive noticed. How long has it been since you paid for the parts? Was it local pick up only? Some of his stuff his pick up only. Ive met the guy, he is real nice. I doubt he is ripping you off.
I think he host third gen fest at his house every year.

Re: Warning: Don't buy from Thirdgenrach on ebay

I purchased a t/a gauge cluster and a set of 85-90 t/a taillights from him on ebay.
I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever!
As amatter of fact, the taillights were even nicer than I expected.
Anyway,I seriously doubt he is even attempting to rip you off.
bigj350,I didn't even know he was a member here.LOL

Re: Warning: Don't buy from Thirdgenrach on ebay

I also have bought stuff from him in the past with no problems. But you can understand that I might be a little pissed that I gave him $370 back on Sept. 10/07, right after the auction closed. I had one response after I first asked where my stuff was, and he asked for my address because he had shipped a lot of stuff and lost track of it, the second response was that there was some shipping problem. That was Oct. 18. No replies to any of my emails since then and of course now it's past the time restraints of both ebay and Paypal for me to get my money back, make a complaint, or even leave negative feedback. So he walks away with my cash and nothing I can do about it.

Re: Warning: Don't buy from Thirdgenrach on ebay

I sent him a couple of very unhappy emails today and filed a complaint with ebay and paypal. Not that it will help because it has been so long. I doubt that I will hear back, he has ignored all my other messages. I've bought and sold a lot of stuff on ebay and would never sell somebody something and not send it. And if it got lost in shipping or whatever the hell his next excuse is, I'd give my customer his money back to be honest and keep my good ratings on ebay.

Try getting a hold of him through here. Go to the Thirdgenfest 07 thread, go to the bottom under Moderators, click on lfn at u. Thats him.
The link wasn't working. It may now though.

I didn't think he would rip me off either. But after 3 months and no parts or refund and now no replies, pretty sure I've been ripped off. This guy appears to run a business through ebay. If you went down to your local store, prepaid something to be delivered and it never showed up and they ignored you when you tried to get your money back, would you suspect you had been ripped off?

Re: Warning: Don't buy from Thirdgenrach on ebay

Just got a message and full refund from Denny. Guess he was just slow to react to my complaining. No one's perfect, thanks Denny. So I will retract my previous statements. But Denny, check and reply to your email more often dude.

Re: Warning: Don't buy from Thirdgenrach on ebay

Im not his friend but I have to say that after dealing with him in person that he is not a scum bag by any stretch. Hes a good host for the third gen event as well. Very nice, soft spoken guy.
I bought a fender from him, hadnt used it for about a year, but when I did, I found it had problems that I uncovered from whoever had worked it previously.
I called him back, told him the story and he swapped it out for me with another, no questions asked. I saw his basement when I went down to get parts for my car, it was a friggin warehouse. He has tons of parts for our cars.
Just a guess, but Im sure with the arrival of his child he has probably let things slip a little. Yeah, I know, when months go by, my temperature would be hot as well.
Im just glad to hear he sent you a refund as it wouldnt seem in line with the same Denny I dealt with.
