just posting as a reminder that Charlotte F Body club has a bi weekly gathering (2nd and 4th saturday of each month). at Sonic drive in, Rt 49 harrisburg, NC. Today's cruise had an awesome turnout! we welcome all generations. more info at www.charlottefbodyclub.com :-) thanks guys!
I heard you picked up a Formula to replace the IROC, I look forward to checking it out. I'm gonna try to make it out there this weekend but I won't have the car, it's being prepped for Auto Fair.
Hey man, been awhile. Replace the IROC... never. Sure its been off the road two years but Its back in action. Been working on a turbo setup for it. Its quite the beast now even more than before . I did pick up a 70 Camaro, in good shape but really jsut a driver at this point. Look forward to seeing ya again.

hey man, thats right i have rejoined the bird family! formula needs some help, paint and what not, but its a better project than the roc, considering the issues with that car, plus i only got 50,000 miles on the bird :-) PM me
Glen's not in this thread, just Chris (BlackFormula) and Mike(Mongoose) and you. Glen shows up at the cruise on a regular basis. Patrick was telling me about your new ride last weekend while we were working on his RS, sounds like a pretty good starting point.
hahaha i figured he would, he was disappointed that i made the switch....oh well. yea its a good spot to start, clearcoat is a little faded, got a few dents to bang out, and the seats are pretty tore up, but considering the car sat for years without going anywhere...outside..i expected as much. but it runs good, strong, and clean :-) ill see you at sonic :-p
Well I didnt get a chance to drop in but I did drive by on one of my errands. Have a question, I saw an yellow with maybe white Elcamino there. Is he part of the club? I swear I saw that car in my neighborhood about an hour earlier. Would like to meet him if he lives near me.

ive never seen him before, so im gonna say hes not an active club member. but it is a real ncie ride, its got 3 dueces under the hood ;-) nice car for sure.
Easy way to do it is to come to a cruise in (the next one is this weekend, the 8th) and grab an application. there are memership dues for the club every year. the membership dues help us do the nice things we do throughout the year :-)
They're scheduled for the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month so if one is a wash out there's always the other weekend. The latest forecast I saw (last night) says it will be a clear day Saturday but windy and in the low 50s. We'll be handing out the passes for Auto Fair coming up April 3-6 so I'd be willing to bet they're will be some form of turn out. I'm planning to be there but I won't have my car (sorry Chris). Hope to catch you there.
thats nothin new, i never see you drivin that car! :-p hahaha but hell if mine was that nice i prolly wouldnt drive it much either to tell you the truth. thats ok, i smoked a mustang on the way home the other weekend, and a 240SX here last week. (sssshhhhh, dont tell patrick! hahahaha)
hahaha yea well, between the 1 quart a day oil pan leak and the trans leak, and the exhaust issues and everything else, plus the VATS ignition crap, i really didnt wat to drive it anywhere hehe. so what, you have nothing better to do than sit on thirdgen on this rainy *** friday?

yea really. enough lurking Next cruise in is this week, the 22nd of march :-) AUTO FAIR COMMING UP!!! Also, if anybody needs parts, ive got a parts lot for sale, see the classifieds ;-)
I need to pay my dues anyway..Mike, any slots open for the AF? Just in case my wife is still pissed at her family and doesn't want to go visit during my week off....Hmmm
I believe all the spots are filled but there are a few that are just showing either Saturday or Sunday. I'll check with Patrick and see if anything is still available. "how to stir the pot" sounds like a dangerous game my friend, kind of like tapdancing around a land mine.
Hey, in case you guys aren't doing anything next weekend, come down for a visit. This showat Knight's Stadium in Fort Mill is growing every year and always has a great turnout with a little bit of everything:
Noticed the post here. Just sent some PM ?s to some of yall about my ride. How big is the meeting at Sonic for the Fbody folks. I hope to have my car on the road next week. Maybe I can check things out. Any meeting in Charlotte, Monroe, or Indian Trail? Im in Monroe.
Is anyone going to the Firebird and Trans Am Show in Ga on 9/6? I am not going to have enough work done to my car to enter but I would sure love to see all the nice cars out there. Not bad to see the Summit Racing store either.
not sure if anyone is going up for that show or not.as per meeting places near monroe, there's a whoel list of things going on, ill see if i can get that list before one of our other members here does . sonic is usually a really good turnout, for all kinds of cars. check it out
Is family welcomed along to a Sonic or not. I may bring my little boy 4 yrs old. Ill have to warn you all my car is nothing but a resto driver it needs work but its a vert and Im just ready to drive it. Ill try to post a few pics
Tried to post pics dont know how. How the heck do you post pics?
Any suggestions on local radio repair. My original radio was changed out when I bought car. I found the correct replacement but it is not working. Any suggestions on who I would take it to local Charlotte area preferably Monroe, Indian Trail?
You could check with the local Pontiac dealer and see where they send their OE radios to. There used to be a place in Charlotte (Downtown Radio I think) that did repair work on factory radios. Don't know of anyone doing that kind of work in Monroe.
Didn't realize there were this many people in charlotte with 3rd gens. Driving a '91 RS now, picking up an '87 IROC in may. I'll have to come down for one of the meets.
I'm in Morganton ('bout an hour and a half from Harrisburg), but I should definitely come down some and hang out with you guys. I'm sure you'd love more third-gens. My car is going through some changes right now , but it will be finished soon.
Anybody here a member of Carolina Classic Pontiacs?
I Just got my first F-Body, An 87 T/A 5.0 TPI. I am having a heck of a time troubleshooting a problem. Can anyone recomend a mechanic in the area who knows these cars well?
Problems she intermittently Bucks and stumbles at 1500-2200 RPMs on light throttle. come off the gas and she is Okay, Punch it to WOT and she is okay. (fuel filter, TPS and MAF are New.)
