Re: Volusia County Florida!

tested ( i think) speedo, it didn't respond. now gonna test power to Vehicle speed sensor, from ecm. cruise control still works so i this speed sonsor still ok. when i saw cheap shorty headers, i jumped on'em. $75 for hedman shorty. for 75 bucks who cares how long they last. right now is all about budget. would really love 1 off made headers. can't afford it though.

It wasn't the tensioner, just an idler. I have a Katech tensioner. Kept tossing belts with the stocker on the new motor. Apparently it didn't like 6800 RPM.

Re: Volusia County Florida!

If you are meeting at the gas station at 95 and beville, it is about 25 minutes.

Joe, glad to hear we are all set. Your car is the third gen I always wanted!

Front bearings. You need front inner and outer bearing and races (they are usually sold together), and seals. I can reuse cotter pins as long as they are there. Worst case, I have an advance and autozone within 3 miles of my house.

The idler and tensioner bearings are all rebuildable. Why you spinning your motor that high??? I have my rev limiter set at 6200 with shift light set for 6100. No higher till I build a motor.....

We could do a PST kit and then you could shoot over and see mrr23. I don't know if he visits here ever, but regardless, he is the front end man. Runs an alignment shop near Lee Rd in east Orlando. He is the only man that I will let work on my car other than me. Period

I make peak power around 6400-6500 RPM, my limiter is at 6800. It's a forged bottom end 347, AFR heads, "T.F.S." cam from Crane, ported FAST 90mm, etc, etc.

I guess you never paid much attention to my sig. I make 400+ RWHP & RWTQ w/o boost or nitrous. It's far from a stock motor.

Nope, missed that. Nice job. I need to start saving for a forged bottom end so I can really crank the boost up....

Never mind then. 6800 is fine.

NP, I don't really advertise what I have. I never give out my cam specs because 99% of the people wouldn't believe me if I told them.

You've had that 98' for years it seems. I swear I used to see that car around Deland/Deltona when I first bought my 2000 back in 03'.

Well Mike you would think that plugging in that wire would get rid of the code 42. But it didnt, what it did do was make code 34 pop up. This is crazyness. I could only get it to show the codes once. After 4 failed more attempts I gave up trying to see them again.

So, directions? Time? I live about 5-10 miles away tops, but need to know where in Deltona. In the middle of a break job on the 91' right now.

It was good meeting everyone today. Wish I could have stayed longer, still fighting off this hangover.

lol I squeezed on it in 2nd gear on Newmark, I wondered if you heard it or not. I figured I was too far away by then. With the gas prices, I should drive easier, but it's just too damn fun.

Next meet up, I swear I'll bring my autoxray for Joe's car. I felt bad I didn't think of it sooner.

NP man, I don't even mind lending it out to you for a week or two at a time. Mine scans and clears codes, and gives you realtime data as you drive. That's how I found I was pulling timing @ WOT.
