Well Im currently watchin I think 4 or 5 scanners on ebay so we'll see. My mom talked to a guy who owns a video game store and they need some part time so I think I might have a job finally. Then I can start doing some nice stuff to the car which you will appreciate Mike. I see runners, intake manifold and cam in our future lol. Its the distant future but still.
What you were saying about sticking with the 9bolt Bryan, so I should just keep it and put the 3.42 gears in? I have no problem doing that. Down time on the car would be a lot shorter. |

If you saw the difference in size between the axles on a 9 bolt vs. a 10 bolt - that would be enough alone to convivce you. Plus, you have a very clean low mile car that hasn't been abused. You never know what you might get buying another used rear.
For right now, until you get more mod money - get a TPI manifold gasket set, some carbide dremel bits, diferent grit sanding barrels, etc. Then port your stock plenum & base. Hell, you can even pick up a spare base manifold cheap and work on it in your spare time. I'm going to do mine next month. With patience, you can really lean on a stock manifold and make it work until you buy an aftermarket piece. I have a Edelbrock Vortec base, but no heads yet - hence why I'm going to port my stocker for now. I'm going to leave the internals of my car alone and remind some people how fast a bolt on car can go. My old cam only IROC used to run consistent 13.00's, it was a heavy pig compared to the 91'. I'm confident I can go just as fast or faster without a cam in this car.

I need to dig through my crap, I think I might have a wonderbar I saved off of one of my old cars. For some reason GM stopped putting them on these cars after 88' or 89'. |

UMI just called me saying my card was accidentally charged today instead of when the group purchase ends. So what they said is mine will be the first one out and if the group purchase doesnt meet the quota I still get the discount. Either way it works out in my favor due to them charging me early. Im not complaining lol. |

See if there is a brass T on the back of the block behind the distributor. |

I don't like mechanical oil guages. That little plastic line is a time bomb waiting to happen. Get an electric one.... |

I suggested the mechanical guage just to test the accuracy of his stock guage, not as something permanent. Plus they make copper line kits. It will rule out a bad sender or inaccurate guage. For his sake, I hope I'm wrong, but it sounds like worn cam bearings. |

Car: 92 Lo3 RS Engine: 305 roller tbi Transmission: t-5 Axle/Gears: 3.08 open | Re: Volusia County Florida! no t on back of motor. sensor comes out above filter.
last plug change, late feb 08. check engine light good, throws good code. o2 sensor dont know.
yeah plastic line is easy to melt if routed wrong.
gm gauges are 2nd rate new. approx 114k mi on motor.
on this car i read that fuel pump is wired into oil press sender for some reason( cheap gm)
let car idle 5 min maybe more. ran it up as high as 3500rpm to see what gauge would read. car idled right, press. was at 30-31psi at idle, normal. sounded right.
pulled air filter base, looked at tbi injectors, at idle, constant "spray" is that right? my truck seemed to have much less fuel at idle. never had problem. at 200k mi.
shut car off loaded kids up, drove down the block 2 blocks away, same ****, low idle. car ran bad.
can i hook up mech. oil gauge between block and sensor and keep it under hood?
also read, i said car has been sucking fuel like a pig. |

That might be what that is. Oil was coming right out of the plug on mine when I had that crazy oil leak back in february. That might be what that is. |
