Plenty of guys in the Tampa area, need to get something together. Also, is anyone planning on going to the F-Body gathering in Atlanta??? It'd be nice to cruise up there with more 3rd gens.

I work in Tampa and live in Riverview. I'm leaving the 17TH to get my camaro and will need a week or two to get it on the road. We should get together and ride down to Bradenton for a Thursday test n tune.

IM down for anything, it makes me sad driving around tampa and seeing people like VW FIXX meetin up at best buy, and then NICO meetin there also, plus driving down on Gandy on fridays and the CCC is just filled with Hondas and ricers. Us third gens need to get together sometime.
I just want to meet up somewhere and chill out maybe get something to eat. No Gandy or Causeway idiots to worry about. Talk cars and check out everyone's ride.

I'm originally from Tampa but I'm stuck in Arizona for now. I grew up in Seffner. I haven't been home in almost 16 years.

It's changed a lot since you've been here. Traffic is horrible, especially MLK/Parsons intersection.
Traffic is horrible anywhere after 1pm. I cant even get out of the school lot(i go to UT) in downtown. Taking the highway is even worse, takes about 50 mins to go from downtown to the westshore exit.

In Tampa yes, Seffner hasn't been like this for very long. Getting too big/crowded.
I can't imagine seffner ever getting big. I went to Lopez elementary when I was a kid and it seemed like it was the only big building in the whole town. There is one in clearwater, one off of W Hillsborough near Palm Harbor, and one in Brandon...those would be the 3 the most centrally located. There is also a Wing House off I4 near the Ford Amphitheater. Id love to go to daytona but hey clearwater/st pete is closer and probably more convenient for a meet like were talking. We could meet up somewhere centrally in tampa and then cruise down, BBQ, maybe toss around a football or something and talk cars. SOmething like that would have to wait till may though, im too busy with school to make it out for something that big lol. We just mainly need to stif up interest around here, there are PLENTY of thirdgens in Tampa. We just seem to be antisocial unless were on TGO lol.

Any restaurant will be packed on a Fri-Sat night lol. We could do something at the other one on Hillsborough maybe, or maybe buffalo wild wings off veterans or one of those restaurants in the same plaza.

I guess we could see how the one on 301 goes. How about a date? This friday or saturday? or next?
Hyde Park area here in Tampa...im down for something...tuesday nights is my only night off tho. But like i said, im down for something if we can find a day that works for everyone.
well looks like the most recent people to try and get something going is robertfrank, snowmanWS6, saber and yourself charcoalbird....with myself that makes five rides which is a decent start. Im down for this tuesday evening April 21st. Just need to pick a time and place in Tampa to meet up. Maybe make a pass up Bayshore Blvd and then back down thru Downtown to Channelside, stop at Hooters...or another option...i work at Green Iguana in Ybor...on Tuesday Nights its super chill and quiet..not ghetto like on the weekends...we can cruise down there...park the rides, have a beer or two and talk cars. If that sounds good to everyone then let me know...if not then we can think up something else.
I know of more people with 3rd gens....or other gens doesn't matter. I like seeing them all. RobertFrank lives in AZ so, don't think he'd be meeting up anytime soon. I like the green iguana idea, as long as everyone is old enough to get in. I don't think anyone is under 21. Just be hard to get people to come out on a tuesday.
Yeah, I'd be down if I wasn't 2500 miles away. Most people around here don't like to do anything or hangout at all.

lol..my bad robertfrank..guess i should have done a bit more reading. Well anyways...yeah doesnt HAVE to be just third gens...1 thru 4 is always a good mix. But yeah as for the Green Iguana Idea...well i work the door 6 nights a week...so yeah its 21 and up..lol. But we would most likely try and snag a couple tables outside anyways. So get in touch with a couple people that you mentioned and let me know. As far as a place to stage, i live in a apt. building on Bayshore with a super long drive way to stage up, meet, and wait on others. Once everyone is ready we can cruise down bayshore, thru downtown/channelside, and into Ybor...sound good?
I may be able to do it but can't speak for anyone else. With only 3-4days notice don't know how many will even read of this before tuesday. Maybe not this week but next week or 2?
Either way I can probably do something, don't need to go for a cruise though. Something cheap.

Been awhile since i was able to hop on here, read up and caught up. I replied to the meet thread also, im down for the 28th. Also Longmire, where in hyde park do you live? Im right in downtown at UT, i drive through hyde park almost daily.

Nice to know, Ive only seen 3 other Third Gens, all camaros in the Tampa area. Nice to know theres someone so close by. Ive seen a beat up Metallic Blue RS near TGH off Bayshore, and a white RS and a Blue SC at Best buy down on Dale.

yeah ive seen a couple myself..camaros and birds...a red one which had some work done to it cruising thru hyde park...and then a couple others here and there.
But hey dude..i sent ya a message...i still have nothing planned for tonight..like i said i have tuesday nights off. So if ya know anyone else that wants to meet up..kill time and talk cars just let me know.
i will be there..i have to work at 9..but i can hang for two hours or so and then jump on the crosstown to get to work...so see ya there!!
Cool, see you there. Anyone else? I dont' know where they plan to cruise, but sometimes they stop somewhere cool and do a photoshoot. The guy who takes the photos in an awesome photographer.
Don't let the rain keep anyone from going. I'm still going rain or...rain, cause that's what's it's going to do. Just not going to go on a cruise as i'm sure everyone else doesn't want to cruise in this weather.

Good to meet you as well Fordkiller. Thanks '85_tribute and longmire92RS for making it out as well. It was a good night. It actually didn't rain at all. After eating at BWW we went on a mini cruise right across the street. One of the 4th gen guys car broke down. Thinking just an alternator or loose ground somewhere. Sat there and waited for a tow truck until 10:30-11pm and then went home.
Fordkiller, how was the rest of your night? Thanks for letting me eat the rest of your "nasty" wings. They were good.
