I'll be making the long trip of 45 mins to get there. LOL. I've been going to this show since it was called the camaro street nationals back in the 80's. It is 4th gen heavy, which is okay. I would rather see it much more diverse though.

LOL, better leave early, Dallas? What a ride. It is 4th gen heavy, which is whywe gotta getmore gen 2 and 3 guys out of the closet to participate! If it wasn't such a logistical battle, I'd bring our '89 to help rep.
ill be there representing....might bring both of my 3rd gens....we will have to see. definately the white car tho. hope to have a heart transplant for it by then.
Most people that I know have early 2nd gens. I know a couple of them will come. They are from nastyz28.com I really only know one person that has a third gen and it's inop, so he won't be there.

Cool another Dallas Ga 3rd gen owner. Now I dont feel so alone here
We'z trying to be a bit more proactive this year so as to dispel any rumors that it's "not going to happen"... Ya'll help keep up the hype, and spread the word!

Of course it'll happen. And if it didn't, we all should still meet up same time and location and have fun. I look forward to this event each year although I havn't been able to make the past 2 years.
My bad on the dates, someone originally posted them wrong, and I copied and pasted them. I tried to edit the title but it still shows the initial title on the main page. Mods, can ya help a brotha and correct it?
By golly! There is a group heading up from Pensacola who would be happy to have you tag along, and we're rolling about 10 cars out of PCB, leaving mid-morning on Thursday. Whichever is closer to your route, get up with us. The PC Website is www.panamacitylsx.com and the Pensacola group is at http://eccf.yuku.com/directory . Either way, feel free to join in!
I wish.....only thing I hate is I'm driving my 4th gen instead of my 3rd!!!!!!!!
Don't feel bad, the '89 will likely be sitting out G13 in favor of some combination of our gen 4s... The 3rd gen will however, be in Atlanta on August 15... I'm rolling that bish to the Def Leppard/ Poision/ Cheap Trick concert!!! Betcha it'll be the only 3rd gen at the concert- Take me back to 1987 and the Hysteria tour!!!

I'm interested, prolly gonna have to put some stock wheels up front to make the drive bearable... this thing hanles like a road wagon!!!
Is there a burnout contest? i may toss some wasteable meats in the back.
btw my car is far from a show car like some of them, do us beaters get a section we won't be shamed too hard in?

You can park next to me, our cars will compliment eachother in some way. Mine is no "beater" but it needs a lot of work.
I finally got my work schedule today, and got the days off as requested. We had registered for the event on the second day, but were holding off registering at the hotel until it was positive that I will be off that weekend. Betty and I only have the one thirdgen, but I am talking up G13 around the REZ. There are a lot of car people up here, and a bunch of f-bodys, although most are first and second gens. Maybe we will get a good showing from Western North Carolina though. One of my coworkers owns a 69 RS, vert, 350, 4 speed, factory PS, PB, tilt, and AC, and 45 K miles. I hope that she will bring it...
I'll be there...infact already registered and paid Not sure which car I'll bring. I think last year I brought my 2nd Gen...this year I'll likely bring the
3rd Gen Vert.
Varisty Cruise in will also be happening (Sun-I think) and last year I believe we had about 80 cars...it was pretty cool to see so many heading down
I-75.
The ACFA and DWS Concepts will give out some really nice awards for the Top 10 picks at the Cruise.
As someone said, the Gathering is like going to a party that a carshow breaks out at....it's a lot of fun.
we need to do something as a TGO group, somehow set up something where we can all meet up at the show...im thinking something that will tell people we are members of TGO, but i have no ideas......but it would be nice to put some faces to the names we know on here

While that is a good idea, If I were to wear a badge which linked me to each board/organization to which I'm affiliated, I'd look like a walking bulletin board.
All jokes aside, ya'll could have some stickers printed up at Vistaprint for free to cheap if you like- I think it's a good idea!
