im planning on going and hopefully i will also have the vert on the road by then. somebody save me two spaces.
im registered and entered with the orange 91 rs. the vert is not ready. ive been there before so i know how it works. ill bring my 3go shirt. im looking to park up with some other third gens so if you see me flag me down. see you all then.
Could we, or Should we try to get a reserved section for the TGO group?
May be a little late for that, as pre-reg ends today. Time is needed to put together a parking map, and estimate how many of a certain club will be coming, etc. For what it's worth, there are no bad spaces, the entire parking area is desirable and quite visible.
A lot of TGO members end up going with their local clubs/groups. You can try next year though. Maybe i'll park in that section.
I had not thought about people belonging to other groups. It makes sense. Thanks for explaining it. There is not much club activity out here in the boonies.
Registered and ready.. pending some cleaning.. I've tried to host a TGO group back when I was more active with the site and it never seemed to work. Would be glad to try to host something next year pending abundance. We usually have a group 3-5 cars on the first row right when you come in.
hopefully more tham me and dmans will be coming from our group next year......... i know next year im driving mine (im riding with this year) i still got some body work to finish up on my baby
I want to go so bad but just changed jobs, so no time till the weekend. She's still in primer but most of all I have to figure out the stupid wiring. I HATE fuel injection, I've got a carb just too many wires to look at with a broken multimeter. I'm even in Marietta. this sucks.

So why don't you go to the gathering during the weekend if that's when you have time? Minus the car, you can at least still check out all the other beautiful rides. I wish I lived close enough to at least do that.

I probably will, I just really wanted to drive my own. I have to work sat, see yall Sunday. You really are not that far, Tampa is only 6.5 hours from Atlanta, I just drove it last weekend. I'd call that a day trip, but I drove 33 hours strait from laguna beach ca to here in atlanta 2100 miles. That's a trip that will mess with your head. (day trip from hell)

I drove from El Paso to Tampa several times already. Not quite your 33 hour drive but, 27 still gets to you.
I know its really not that far, I just don't have the money for gas or if anything was to happen on the way no money to repair it.
Anyone happen to catch the Machita/Evans fight up there? Bad Azz!! Happy with the outcome too. What's the "main" event this year? I know when I went(G10) they had the unveiling of the new camaro, and last year Def Leppard played. If anyone has pictures, post up mofo!!!!!!!!!
We just got back from G-13 also. It was a blast. Andy and the gang are a class act. The event feels more like a big tailgate party then a typical car show. The group is very friendly, and there are plenty of activities. The gathering is 4th gen heavy, but very encouraging and receptive owners of all years and models of F-bodies. There were a good showing of thirdgen's. We are already planning on going next year. Andy set the dates last night at the awards ceremony, as Memorial day Weekend, 2010, which falls on the fourth weekend in May. Of course it did not hurt my feelings that my car was Class Winner for 82 to 87 stock Firebird class.
I think that I have even caught the Camaro bug, and will be looking to buy a nice stock loaded up thirdgen maro before next year.
[quote][why don't we start working on a TGO section for 2010/QUOTE]
I think that's a great idea. I've missed the last two "G's" but was at the 3 previous, and it was nice to meet fellow TGO'ers. I've got a good group of locals that go down, but I'd park with you guys if we got a good group going!!!
I was there Friday and Saturday, took my 4th gen Camaro. We left Saturday around 4pm. I'm ready for G14.
The show was a good turnout, needed some more 2nd and 3rd gens tho. GMMG was good too. Nice cars and a few good burnouts, until the Cobb County Dicks showed up and had to act like *******s.
man i just got home and dang was it a blast, wish i drove my car and didnt ride with this year but i will be driving next year and taking my g/f and maybe the daughter to
i got about 60 pics from it, will be working on putting them in a photo album and will post up a link when i get done

Had a blast as always!! Just a shame I couldn't get my car there again for the third time. Maybe next year. A TGO section sounds great. But I usually hang out with my local club F-Body Inc.(the one with the guy with the chalk) since I don't see them all year pretty much. But it would be cool to see a bunch more 3rd gens there. Adam :-)

I won 88-92 super mod and my wife won 93-97 firebird mod.....
congrats to you on winning supermod. you have a hell of a nice car. i had left sunday but got a call that night and was told i took runner up to you in supermod. a friend of mine picked up the award and ill get it sometime today. next year lets do it again!
in the 4th row of pics in the 2nd link, first pic is a member of our local 3rd gen group from mississippi. i believe he won for something.
wish i was deployed right now i had big plans to go w/ the local club. will be there next year for sure!
the TGO idea sounds great. im sure our locla group would park/hang w/ fellow TGOers.
acutally depending on the size of your monitor the pics may come up in different rows. nonetheless still nice to see a local club member make the pics.
Had a blast as always! Meet some new contacts and board members. Can't wait till next year!! I was in the red '91 1LE between the brilliant red metallic '91 Z (Fireball451) and the bitchin' blue Firebird. Hope to bring a stock "wink, wink" black '92 Z and our new B4C car next year! Hope all the first timers come back again, its to much fun to miss!
So yeah I parked with the GAFBA crew. And my car took runner up in the 88-92 PRO Modified class. I found out last night about it since I had to leave before the awards to make it home at a reasonable hour since I have a 4 hour drive. Oh and I almost lost my RR axle on the way home. 3 out of 4 backing plate bolts were missing and the last one was loose, and I have c-clip eliminators on my 12 bolt. I spent about 4 hours stuck in Dublin waiting on parts and some specialty tools to get her back on the road.
Oh and just when I thought it was gonna be smooth sailing home after I got it fixed I ran into a Monsoon on I-16. So bad I couldn't see past the end of my hood with the wipers on HIGH!!!! I was driving on the rumble strip purposely so I knew I was still on pavement.
All in all I had an amazing weekend and will be attending again hopefully next year but if not the following one for sure.

i just knew we should have stuck together. sorry man. when we got past macon we hit some more rain but then it was smooth sailing. next year all of us coming from the savannah area need to arrainge a convoy date and time. i already spoke with a few others that want to do this. i also plan on leaving on monday, and going to gmmg, varsity, and all that.
It's all good man I picked up my new windshield, and nothing serious happened. The Torrential down pore that I drove through was probably more nerve wracking than almost losing an axle. Talk about white knuckle driving. If I'm back in the area for next year a convoy up and down would be great. It would make for greater peace of mind.
