my irocs stuff into a 90s iroc convertable.. possible?

i wasnt sure where to post...

ok.. well i have always wanted a conv. iroc. and since i just found out my loan for the bike was approved, so i will have some extra cash. im thinking about gettign a 90 iroc conv, and swapping everything from the 86 to the 90 and then sell the 86 with the 90 stuff in it. I know i will need some new sub frame conectors if i decide to do so. im just curious *and want opinions* if i should do so.

85-87 tpi had a ninth injector and 88-89 did not, 90-92 had speed densaty ( they had no mas airflow senser) so if you wanted to change all your stuff form 86 to 90 you would have to change your harness because one would have a ninth injector and a maf and the other one wouldn't. but if you just want to change your block and lieve everthing else the same all you would have to change are the injectors. i am not sure how big i dont' know what all you have done to your car and what else you have in mind. but if your 86 runs fine with the injectors it had now then you could just swap that too.

Just swap the harness and computer with the engine, you'll be fine. In changing the computer, tho... you might want to check your speedo. I'm not 100% sure, but I think an 86 speedo might be mechanical where a 90 speedo is totally electronic. Another thing to check is vats. The 90 computer might not start in the 86 because the 86 starter switch doesn't have the vats connection, but there's an electrical way around it in the tech articles, I believe.

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but those are two big ones to think about.
