Now that the rear is shot, the strut mounts are torn, the alignment is gone, brake lines have been torn, tires are prematurely balding, brake lights and turn signals don't work, spoiler came broken and UPS isn't reimbursing me eventhough I paid for insurance, I'm getting married in JUne, and moving into my house next month.........
my fuel pump died on me this morning. I LOVE 3rd gens.
I will have the rear out of the car, how much longer will it take to remove the fuel pump? 2 more hours, 30 minutes, what? Anyone do one here?
I just don't want to bite off more than I can chew, time-wise. Should I wait for the weekend or can it be done in 6 hours?
If you already have the rear end down, you just drop the high side of the panhard bar, remove your exhaust before the axle, disconnect the 3 fuel lines, take off the gas cap and the shield behind it, and then there's two nuts holding the tank straps on.
If I had the rear down already I could have the tank out in 45 minutes. I hope you like to bench press.
Dont even think about it... if you already have the rear down just take out the tank.. its a lot easier than everyone makes it sound... synapsis' summary of it is perfect.. simple and easy, just like it sounds... just get the a$$ of the car as HIGH as you can and you should be fine...
Well, the car is starting just fine, no hesitation at all anymore. The only thing I can think off is I took the fuel injector fuses out, and maybe I didn't put them back in far enough? Oh well, I'll keep my eye on it, but if it works.
As for the bad performance, I believe it's the gas. I am banning the chevron at Alma/Baseline. Only QT and Kick 66 for my bird.
