If you're going to use Vortec heads you need to make sure you get an intake that matches the bolt/port pattern

long block rebuild? why not have them rebuild the short block if your going to change the heads? that way you can keep some cash in your pocket for the vortec parts

i was gonna buy the used vortec and have the rebuild it all at the same time and not the heads that came on it, but i was thinking does anyone locally do any port and polishing on the side, i could probably spend less getting these port and polished and not having to pay shipping, i was just thinking about running the zz4 cam and wanted to be able to get some gains which these heads would kill for sure
