Wow. That thing's pretty clean. Is that one of the huge aftermarket radiators?
Dude, could you do me a favor? I'm swapping over to a serp conversion, there anyway you could tell me where the A/C compressor wires and alternator wires run so I can do a clean conversion?
The AC compressor wires run down the "frame rail" and up to the compressor. The Alt wire runs down in the same area as the injector wires on that side.
I'm not sure if I remember right.. but didn't GM swap sides with the A/C compressor and alternator some year?
EDIT: Oh yeah... and yes, that is one of the larger aluminum radiators. That's why I had to fab up custom brackets.
Who did the fab work? Looks clean!!!! I need something like that for my T/A!!! My Jegs "direct-fit" dosent work with my factory top mount and I cant find anyone around here that wants to touch it, as I am picky!!! that looks exactly like what I want...

I did. A friend did the aluminum welding though since I need more practice at it.
Web site died. I can send pics to someone if they're interested.

Some information:
* The car was originally red, and I bought it in Bakersfield, Ca.
* The fuel pump, filter, and all seals were replaced this year with new components.
* The tires and brakes have maybe 1500 miles on them.
* It smokes a little on startup due to valve seals, a common issue with L98s.
* The paint is damaged on the front left corner of the car.
* The heater doesn't work, but I have all the parts to get it working.
* The A/C needs a compressor.
* The air-bag light comes on.
I'll take $3900 for it.
I've never cut the car to do any of the fuel pump swaps I've done on my car. (Yes, I saw that thread!)
Damn still trying to sell that? You should just keep it it has too many memories! Why did you paint it again? HAHA. Have you tried Craigslist yet? Ive made quite a lot of money off that site.

I'm planning to move out of the country and I need to replace the roof on my house. So there it is, $500 more than Kelly Blue book which is less than what I paid for the headers, nevermind everything else on it.
If it doesn't sell I'm half tempted to part it out.
Its not a bad looking car. My only thing is the red engine compartment and other parts too. Shoulda stayed red or stripped it and then painted it black. Parting it out is too extreme for a pretty nice Iroc. Be patient bro. Good luck.

Its always at the wrong points in time that the cars I would take in a heartbeat become available. Gosh darnit to all hell. I've been here for many, many years of your wrenching on that beast. Hopefully it finds a good home

Yep, still available. (For some reason I'm not getting post notifications.)
Here's the story on emissions:
I had done an E85 conversion on the car (as most regulars saw in photos.) I couldn't get it to pass on E85 for the life of me. This was with a Stealth Ram, custom chip, and totally different fuel system than what's on the car now. The car is back on regular fuel with the stock intake and almost brand new cats. In the past the car would skate past on emissions. I don't know how it will do on emissions now since it's exempt (it's not my daily, in my zip code I'm exempt), and it hasn't been to emissions in years. All the emissions equipment is there and functioning.
The fuel that's in it is a bit old, so that might effect emissions.
Title is clean.
EDIT: And the reason I didn't totally strip it when I painted it was because it was my daily driver and I needed it.

You know what feels comfortable? Working on an exhaust system when your abs are held together with 16 titanium staples and a sheet of plastic.
For anyone else in the future: If you have year old gas in the tank of your car and it pings a bit, throw a couple of gallons of E85 in it. Woke my car right up.

Egad man! I had a similar situation years ago when my appendix blew out on me. Wound up with 18 staples straight down my belly. I remember being terrified to strain myself on the toilet, lest my innards became 'outards.' I really can't imagine being out there wrenching on an exhaust system.
You're either brave or insane in my book, but either way, I'll tip my hat to your dedication sir!
Rubbing alcohol works good too. So, not for sale anymore?
Nah, still for sale. And 3 gallons of E85 is cheaper than 3 gallons of rubbing alcohol from Walgreens, at least for me.
I had the staples down my stomach, but due to complications I had to be re-opened. And apparently you can't staple the same skin twice so my stomach was held together with 3 straps for a few months. It didn't heal correctly and my ab muscles started poking through so I had to go back in a couple years later (this Feb) to have the plastic sheet installed. It all started when my small intestine blew out, then twisted shut, then my appendix went also.

YIKES!!! If you were a car you wouldve qualified for the "Cash for clunkers" program!!!
Everything better now?
Everything "better" is all relative really. My staples hurt from time to time, but my stomach isn't trying to break out of my skin.
Still driving the car. I'm getting a little better than 20 MPG out of it (haven't run a full tank yet). When I get back into my Lightning I notice how loose the steering is on the truck. I should probably upgrade the steering on the truck too.
