I need a new transmission

t5, t56,or 700r4 if possible. I have my stock 700r4 with a brand new torque converter but some of the internals are bad.(not sure what exactly.) I just dont have the tools to rebuild it myself. I would prefer a t5 with all hardware to get it driveable for $600 or less if possible. Please any help on finding a tranny for me would be greatly appreciated. I called around to some yards today but i cant really find anything for a reasonable price.

thank you very much for your input. how good of condition is your 700r4 and if your brother wants to get rid of the t-56, does it have all the parts to get the car going or is it just the tranny itself?

My 700r4 I can't tell you a whole lot about, I got it from another member here on third gen. He said it worked fine and thats all I have to go by.

My brother's 700r4 is in his car right now, has a shift kit and a 2700 stall converter, everything is working great on it. He wants $300 and the T56 is complete with the flywheel, bell housing, pro 5.0 shifter, drive shaft, all the stuff that it came out of the car with $1300.

wow $300 is an amazing steal. how much would you want for your 700r4? i have a possible trade saturday where im giving a 305 block for a 700r4 but im not really sure what kind of shape this tranny is in. so if it falls through and your brother still has his 700r4 im gonna definitely be interested. are you in tucson?
