Kid in a 1990ish 240sx wanted to trade

I was on my way home from work tonight and I stopped off at Frys to get something to eat. As i'm locking the door a kid passes by in a beat up 1990 Nissan 240sx and offered to straight up trade me his car for mine. I just smiled and let him drive off, but he said it again and I just said thanks. I just thought it was funny.

I think it's the blacked out GTA wheels on red that makes it stand out even more. I went to Taco Bell a few weeks back and two kids were near by and saw it and thought I wasn't within ear shot, but I was, and I heard them say "Who puts GOLD wheels on a RED car??" Ever since I started looking at them differently. I know it's blasphemic to alter a GTA, but the GOLD had to go imho. I've owned a Black TA with Black GTAs and Black TA with Charcoal GTAs and to be honest, they look alot better than the GOLD GTAs. So I did it.

This isn't my car, but it looks exactly like it minus the painted door handles.

Black Wheels + GTA = Hotness.

Why do people offer to trade you there pile of ****? I have had like 2 or 3 people say that to me. First question, "Is that the LS1?" Yes. "Dude I would trade you straight up my car for yours." I bet you would trade your pile of **** mid 90s honda accord for my LS1 Trans am. Get a ****ing clue retard.

Kevin,

Too bad you didn't have like a little Hot Wheels TA. You could've traded him straight up for that.

Got any pics of itw ith the gold wheels? Im thinking of painting some wheels im working on a gold color on my car. I think the chrome lip might make it a bit weird, though. I saw a red 91-92 Z/28 clone with gold crosslace wheels and I thought it looked amazing though IMO. Very unique.

People have been putting gold wheels on red cars for a long, long time btw...

Matter of taste, but it looks good either way! I bet more people will jive with the black than the gold, though. People just arent used to seeing that.

Are gta wheels powdercoated or painted? When I removed the crusty clear coat of the dish, overspray got on the gold and it didn't seem to do anything. I'm hoping they are powdercoated, because I would like to go back to gold one day.
