Ok, it's been a while since my last post because I've been reworking my car into something different. I'm going for that Nascar Iroc Race car look of the 80's, but with a few modern items. I still got a few more things to finish this weekend and I will bring it out to a couple car hangout's next weekend. This is a pic of the new A pillars, aluminum door panels and new dash I fabricated, along with smoothing out the window openings by removing the drip rails and weatherstrip. The interior is totally gutted Nascar style and painted white...My custom 3in Iroc hood is still in the works so I have a temporary cowl inducted hood for now....more soon.......Frank
Thanks guy's, if I finish doing my touch ups on the paint and buff it all out, plus get my decals on, I will have it at 91st & Northern on Friday and 83rd ave Safeway cruise spot next Saturday.I'm dying to go....lol... I haven't been to any car hang outs with it since last April, because it's been apart all summer. I hope to see you guy's there....here is a different shot of the dash.......Frank

That interior actually looks really good! How much would you charge to do a dash for my 86 bird? I'm making that one into my race car.
I don't think I want to make another one of those dashes, I about lost my thumb in the process...lol...the hole saw jerked out while cutting and snagged my thumb, real bad. Aside from the blood spillage, it was easy to make though, and if you want demensions I can give them to ya. I had to go to a sheet metal supplier for the aluminum that size because regular hardware store's don't carry anything that large. It's made from .040 aluminum, I bought a 4x6 foot sheet for about 50 bucks. You do need a bending brake to make the clean bends, I took mine to my former employer "Hot Rods by Dean" to use theirs, they can do that for ya too. This is what it looked like before I painted it and installed the gauges.......Frank
That's cool. When I get to that point, I'll look you up and ask for some help. This car is going to take a few years to build. Just getting ideas right now. I could use this kind of dash for it. The door panels look great too. Wouldn't mind having those in it too. Thanks for the info.
Thanks guy's....it's been alot of work!!...tomorrow I'm finally gonna take it out to the car hang out on 83rd ave & Beardsly about 5pm. I'll post pic's of it tomorrow.......Frank
