Lets get together in Tucson

Hey all. Just wanted to see if anyone in Tucson wants to get together sometime this month. Maybe on a Friday night and go out on Speedway to have fun with the ricers or just hang out. Lets get something started. Thomas

What are you doing tonight? I am driving down from Phoenix for a weekend away from the pager, and I plan on meeting Willie and BlackBird91 at SIR about 6:30. See sig for what my car looks like. See ya!

This will be my second trip to Tuscon in the 6 years I have lived in Arizona. Primarily this was set up as a "get-away" weekend, and BlackBird91 and I decided to get together. Add Willie in and you have tonight....

I think Tucson Speed Park is the circle track down the street.

I live about 5 minutes away from SIR... I love my location.

I'm not superstitious about anything.... except driving on Speedway on a Friday or Saturday night. The last 3 tickets I got were on Speedway on a Friday night, and that was just driving downtown to pick up someone. =/

Me too. You may have seen me driving around on Rita Road.

Not only do I live at Rita Ranch, I work at the University of Arizona Science and Research Park on Rita Road (between I-10 and Old Vail Road).

Actually, I don't think I've seen any other thirdgen out here. Maybe I'm just not paying attention.

I work on Houghton by Civano, so we drive in opposite directions. hehe

I'm sure if you saw me you'd know. My car is "somewhat" loud (exhaust, blower, gear drive, etc).

Are you an electrical engineer?

Na, that's not me. I'm not THAT loud.... But you're welcome to stop by anytime and check it out for yourself.

I'm an engineer, but not electrical. I know a fair amount about electrical but the master is my friend, Tim Burgess (Electronics board moderator). He IS an EE and he knows his stuff. He's the one who designed and built my 11-LED TPS non-linear and 21-LED linear O2 bargraphs. My current project (with lots of help from Tim) is a wide-band O2 bargraph. He's already built one for his car and he's helping me for one for my car.

I have written an article on coolant fan mods which can be found in the Tech section on this site. As hot as it gets here, it's absolutely necessary to make the mods I outline in the article.

So anyways, has anyone determined where and when we're all getting together? If not, I have a suggestion. I don't care for the restaurant idea because it's hard to get seating for everyone at the same table. How about someone's house for a BBQ??? Say starting about 1pm and going to ????

Hay every one
I live on the north west side of town ,but I live on a acre at the end of a cul-de-sac and would willing to host this BBQ.
I do need to know soon because I'll have to take leave from work.
We could make a BYO? I could supply burgers and dogs.

two weeks ago mine went south and I had to buy a new one. From the dealer it was $220 ,that sucked. On the other hand my TA runs great now.

I'm going to search the 2 U-Pick junkyards that are open tomorrow... I found a few in Phoenix for around $30 each out of junkyards. I'll probably pick up a couple for that price.

I wish I would stop breaking parts that I can't replace on a weekend.

What year/engine combo is it from? I got my ECM working but I wouldn't mind having a spare if the price is right.
