Everyone in Tucson!!!!

I personally think we should all get together for a gethering, I have never done one or gone to one and I think it would kick *** to do it with you guys.

I live out near broadway and camino seco, does anyone live by me?

we can all meet in front of mainstreet or anywhere for that matter, I think it would kick *** to meet people from the site in real life and just hang out, go crusin, etc..

lets all set a date and a place, who's down?

Is your Camaro white? I see a white Camaro around that area a lot.

I live out in Rita Ranch. I'd be cool with meeting up with people, just depends on the date and time. (And what the gf has planned.. you know how that goes.)

Here's my car, if ya ever see me driving around the southeast side... wave.

Is that this coming weekend or the one after that?

If you guys ever meet up at SIR, I'm there. I need to get some times on my car, after I get a battery tie-down.

Dirk: Who do you host the site with? My gf does web design/hosting and it makes me curious about that kinda stuff.

Hey guys, I live on DMAFB, so I can meet anywhere in Tucson. If ya'll want to meet for breakfast or something, we can meet at Dennys or IHOP. Just eat and hang for a while. Then we can make plans to do something that night (Speedway???). Let's do it. Thomas

Is your Camaro white? I see a white Camaro around that area a lot.

I also drive a white Camaro. It's an 1987 IROC-Z with red graphics. Other than a cowl induction hood and 4th gen exhaust tips, the car looks stock. And every once in a while, I drive my red 1987 Z28 convertible.

I live out in Rita Ranch.

So do I. How'd you like to swing by sometime?

Tim Burgess, our Electronics board moderator, also lives in Tucson. Between Tim and myself, I believe we have the two quickest 305's on this board.

I'm planning on going to SIR on Friday, March 15. Anyone interested?

I'd be interested, but I think I just broke either my torque converter or my flexplate. (At least I hope it's not the transmission.) So I'm going to be driving the VW awhile now. heh

But I'd still be down with watching you guys run and hanging out.. I can't run the Bug since it doesn't have seatbelts.

I'm down with SIR... and now the Iroc is back in commission once again, so just need a battery tie-down and I'm good. Turns out I have a broken cat that only rattles when it's heated up. While I was down there I fixed my leaking oil cooler.. I'll be making a small article about stock oil coolers soon since I found very little info about it anywhere, including Haynes.

I saw two thirdgen Camaros in Rita Ranch today while I was gassing up the bug... you guys already invading the area?

I'll e-mail you my phone number. Call me and let's get together. I'm free today (Sunday).

BB91:

We very much appreciate your offer to host our get together. But considering that most everyone who is part of this conversation lives on the east side, I feel we should hold it on the east side (at least this time). I'll volunteer my house.

Everyone:

I'm planning on running at SIR this Friday, March 15. Typically, we meet at my house and caravan from here. Any takers?

I ran on March 1 and it was a waste of time and money. It was very windy and very cold. And I've never seen as many cars running as I did that night. I got there about 6:30pm and got my only pass in around 9pm.

I don't know what the turnout will be on the 15th, so I'd like to go much earlier this time, say around 4:30pm. I'd like to get one pass in just as the track is opening.

Man, too bad I didn't see this sooner! I'm down, I live around kolb and irvington. Right next to the big beige tower thing at one of the entrances of the air force base. You all know what I'm talking about! Someone might have seen my car around. It's dark green with a oxidizing hood?

Willie - I'll go down to SIR with you Friday.. just need to know where to meet up. I might ask a little guidance from you since I've never raced there before. I'm putting a battery tie-down on this week, so I should pass tech... but I just don't know what order things are done in, etc.

That's great. I sent you a private message with more details.

No problem. If you can send me your e-mail address, I can attach a document that explains the basics of drag racing. If not, I can print you a copy when we meet.

I have also started a new thread titled, "March 15, Racing at SIR (Tucson)"

Saturday's out for me. I'm spending the day searching junkyards for a part for my A/C, and the evening doing 2 weeks worth of Algebra homework.

I'm such a party animal. :lala:

I was planning on going North of Valencia / East of Alvernon behind the power plant. There's a bunch of yards back there and I figure at least one of them should have the part I need. =)

What parts do you need? I have a few Iroc parts in my garage.

I need a tan screw for the rear spare tire cover and the white plastic thing behind it. Also, I need a IROC Z gfx emblem and the piece of trim the holds the back of the headliner up. Maybe see if I can find a decent drivers seat. If you dont have it, maybe I can go junkin' with you. I have not been to any around here looking yet. Thomas

Go to Parts for Less on East Illinois Street. They are one of my favorites. They have at least one dozen F-bodies.
