Were you at SIR? Or did you just show up to the BBQ?
I can't remember everyone I met. But I do know that I didn't get a chance to talk to Tim Burgess, since he was too busy flying by us in the "Slicks Only" staging lane. How's the wide band O2 sensor going?
Thanks for coming by my house last night. There were so many people that I didn't get to spend time with all, which was kind of a bummer. But I feel it went very well. I have to thank my wife for bbq'ing, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten a chance to mingle at all.
Synapsis,
Dirk did not make it to the track, he only made the cookout. How late did you stay at SIR? Do you know how late Tim stayed? We were up until midnight watching the video Robin shot, but Tim didn't show. If you'd like to watch the video, call me. You're welcome anytime Saturday or Sunday.
And thanks to everyone who showed up. I had a great time.

Willie - By the time I got to the staging lanes, the line was close to the first curve, so I decided to head on home. I think you were still parked there when I left.
So how about May 3rd? I opened up my car on the highway with my gf in it, and now she wants to go down the strip with me. Go figure. :lala:
I definitely want to run my girlfriends camaro again....it ran a 98.2 mph trapspeed, but only went 14.7 (corrected...15.3) because I had 2.6 60FT!! Hahah Oh well. When are we going again? Next time my bird will be out, hoping to get into the 12.80 range uncorrected. Actually if we're going May 3rd then no it wont' be ready Go later!
Dirk,
It was nice to finally meet the man who made the site possible and to meet another Tucson f-body person.
Willie,
I just want to say thanks for the bbq and bringing all of us together. Maybe next time I'll join the crowd and run. Oh yeah, my girlfriend thanks you too. 1, for the bbq & 2, for leeting me see the blower. Now I've gotta have one.
Now to everybody else, it was great meeting everybody else also. Hopefully all of us can get togther more often and hang out more often. Remember, we can all get together for other events besides the drags. It is car show season again and there is one every other weekend for the next 6 mo. Hope to meet more of you guys/gals in the future.
Eric

Willie doesn't have a blower anymore, I stole it from his car while he was sleeping.
I found out that my EGR was partially stuck open (after being stuck full open this morning before work), so I'm hoping to gain a little bit in the 1/4 the next time we go. It'll be a *lot* easier to tune now. =)
Willie - Can I get a copy of the video tape from Friday night? I'll supply the tape if needed.

I had a good time too, racing and meeting new people. Hopefully, you'll be able to race your car, if not next time, then sometime thereafter.
I know BB91 (Matt) wants to host a cookout, so maybe we'll have it at his house next time. I'm thinking a Saturday or Sunday after Friday night racing so they won't interfere with each other.

Then what was that whistling noise I heard Saturday, Sunday and this morning? Oh no, I've got a bad alternator bearing......

Do you need a replacement EGR? I have a brand new one still in its box if you need it.

You're one funny dude. After ripping off my blower, you want me to lend you my tape??? Ha ha.
Willie
p.s. "The other Eric", anytime you want a copy, bring a blank and I'll record it for you.
Had a blast at the BBQ. Wish I could have run at the track, but the IROC was gettin a rebuilt tranny.
Willie, the tranny came out GREAT!!! The guy did a good job. He did put in some Corvette parts, but used a 553 servo. Said it was better for street drivin.
Is anyone else here gonna get with Chris and I on Speedway anytime soon? Maybe after a BBQ?
Willie - I just disabled the EGR in the chip and unplugged the vacuum line. I can't get the damn valve off. hehe
I also disabled my canister purge and now the car just about runs perfect air/fuel... except for certain cruise conditions when it'll add fuel just to make me pull my hair out. With that and the plenum porting I just did, my highway power is great.
Everyone else - I'm planning on going to SIR on May 3rd (the next test n tune) to burn some more chips and test the next round of mods. (SLP headers, high flow cats, ported plenum, disabled egr, etc...) The more the merrier. =)
