Congrats again Jerry.

What's your next step? Put in a cage and aim for 10's or put in a cage along with the new motor?

Yes I witnessed Jerry’s run up close and personal as I was running the ‘Blue Bunny’ right next to him. We had agreed that I would leave on the first yellow, because short of leaving while he was halfway through his burnout, it was the only way I would even have a chance of keeping up period. So here we are the first yellow starts to luminate and I’m gone. Here is what it looked like from the driver seat of the bunny. As I was grabbing second I took a peek in the rear view just long enough to see jerry’s headlights disappear. Concerned, I stayed focused and went for third. Now those of you that have been fortunate enough to be in the passenger seat when daddy is working (shameless plug) know that when I shift its so fast it’s barely visible by the human eye. Well let me tell you the time it took me to go from second to third Jerry and his fu(king FA/18 passed me like I was standing still. I was immediately filled with a love/hate feeling. I hate losing period, but you’ve got to love it when your fellow third genner not only rocks an 11.60 pass but advances to spectator because he’s just too fast. Congratulations again Jerry that was really something to watch.

Oh and by the by, team Bunny has broken the 12 second barrier with a single 12.95 pass. We attempted to back it up with a couple more sub 13 second passes but lost the clutch in the process. We are now number two in the overall standings behind Kevin’s 12.80 and still the fastest N/A Third Generation F-Body (in this organization) at Fontana.

Ok, top this one.... 1st 1.84......2nd 1.82.....3rd 1.82....4th 1.82
to go along with Reaction times of...5.01 ....5.29....5.37....I doubt you have time slips for that. Give me a break will ya.

I guess the 12's are going to be... Like Son Like Father instead of the other way around, I might take as long as Kevin to get there but you all know it's just a matter of time.

SPEAKING OF #1.......

Mike and I have thought about just going down to cheaters-bad to get the easy slip but I keep telling him we'll get it at fontana. Once I get a few things straightened out we'll go for the gold by putting in an effort to do so instead of it just happening, which it could as well. Hell I didn't even mess with the chip since the last time we were out at fontana. I'm sure removing the sway bar, adding the airbag, and using more than just pump gas will allow us to be more optimal for the track. But it's good knowing what the car is capable of with just some sticky tires. Now if I could just get the car to leave better......

Besides I want mike to take the crown away from Vince, not kevin So we'll have to wait for vince to make his display.

Truthfully I think Vincent is going to take James for a good one.. If Vincent can't beat James at the track then James and Vincent will need to put down some Dyno Numbers..

Care to back up those statements? What are your opinions based on? Parts? Experience? Research? Other? Are you refering to drivers or cars?

I don't care about dyno numbers.

Well of course it's just a opinion, as of Magic thoughts out of my mind as I have not viewed your car at the track nor Vincent's, But I have Viewed you going over a bridge..
As of referring to parts.. It's pretty close as research of the Afr's and Trick flows Ported are fairly close. There both a nice producing head. As of Block All I heard was that you had a caprice block? I don't know if it's rebuilt used or what it has internally. As for Vincent's Block well you probably already know what it has..And Im sure it's going to produce some good numbers.. As of Vincent's all these years not hitting the correct combo as I have heard from Vincent knows, But Im sure he made no mistakes this time.
As for drivers experience, Vincent knows how to drive as he has been drag racing for years.. Yourself James as I told you today, You need to beat him driving yourself. That would be the best way to go.. Well Good Luck to both of you.
And of course you have certain skills that Vincent doesn't and he has the same.. Well good luck to both of you let the fastest win.

Vincent is basically running the same combo (intake/heads/cam) but with the SR extrude honed, the block freshened up, and the heads slightly cleaned up to remove casting flash. Nothing extremely drastic (except for the SR change). His combo and car is very similar to mine. The weight is approx the same, both have similar intakes/cams/heads, the gears are similar (3.42 vs. 3.45), both are sticks, both are T-top'd, both are nearly 20 yrs old. The heads should flow enough where the SR is the restriction in both cases. He is MAF and I am SD. Which one will put down the better HP numbers? I don't know nor care. Long runner intakes don't generate impressive HP numbers but rather generate nice TQ numbers. The SR compromises both but still doesn't have the high end HP that creates the huge HP results. When Vincent gets his car broken in a nd running good it'll be a good race, but I don't expect it to be a one man show in either case. Neither car should dominate the other and the faster car shouldn't be that much faster.

Plus you never know what Don has up his networking-and-bartering sleeve

I'll be at the track to watch vince/don if they go but not to race.

I:
1) just replaced my clutch and need to break it in
2) don't want to fix my car anymore
3) R&R'ing a t56 in my driveway is a PITAx2
4) tired of spending cash on my car
5) need to convert the 56 to TPI

Perhaps in the next couple of weeks or month. When are you going to install your exhaust?
