"Yes I do in fact ...just got a 383"

(not to waste space in you engine for sale thread...here (Item For Sale) )

You make it sound like you yourself just got a 383 as opposed to describing the 2-piece RMS 383 that was in your shop for a while. Perhaps this is the reason for your vortec headed engine is for sale. 383, eh? You sound very serious and determined on yor objectives, whatever they may be. Not to be alone with the local "3rd gen f-body stroker motor crowd" perhaps I should consider joining that very exclusive club myself to make it interesting.

Well, this "383" is available if you want it.
As I have no use for it.
That's right ....it's a 638 roller 4 bolt block w/adapter and a two piece crank & forged pistons. (humm, all I would need is a flywheel) .

Dont jump to conclustions, James. The 383 I talked about at the meeting just showed up on my dad's doorstep that day, before I left for the meeting. Its not something we've been hiding.
Its a two-piece RMS so I cant use it with my T56, so its for sale.

My dad is selling his current engine because he is going to build a new one with aluminum heads, instead of iron.

yeah, I'm in the market for a stout 377/383 shortblock with select components. Then I should be in dwaynes league and leave you, vincent and dyno to talk smack on another.

Explain this "Poor college student" situation of yours James. I think a few more of us should consider going back to school. It appears it's pretty lucrative.

actually I won't be in the market until summer so I have some time to do some research before I pull the trigger. It may be a HOT summer here boys

I can just here Vincent now, "or course you pull a few bus lengths on me, you gots a stroker. You need a stroker AND Ram-air And tuning And slicks* AND $2K heads AND a bigger camshaft to beat me and I only gots a 355"

I have my WB O2 working fine with the RPM and TPS inputs. I still go real lean on tip in and up top.
