So it looks like this topic has been drug out for a while. I had just aquired an 84 z28 w/ 305 TPI, salvage title (vandalized). I had just replaced the two rear rims and looking for 2 front rims, Does anyone have pics of the different oem 16 inch rims for each year? I've noticed that there are at least 3 maybe 5 different styles of rims for 3rd gen. I would like to know what year rims i've actually aquired, I was told they were off an 85, but do not see any dates on the outside of rim. These are aluminum 16x8 star looking with the center area raised about 2 inches and has a 1.75 opening, in which a small cover goes, it looks like no other cap goes over to cover lugs.
Any help would be nice. Glad there is a local board to post to!
