Car: '83 T/A WS6 Engine: carbed 305 Transmission: 700R4 w/ shift kit | 2nd Annual Rim of the World Cruise 2nd Annual Rim of the World Cruise
The date has been set: July 25th
More info at: http://www.fbodyaddict.com/rotw/rotw.htm
Looks like its going to be even bigger this year! This is not an event to be missed! Hopefully it wont be so hot this year! I may be setting up a BBQ(Mmmm tri-tip!) at my cabin the night before for those of you who dont want to drive all the way out there and do a 2+ hour cruise the same day can stay up there for the night(plenty of beds) and then we'll do a CHP check as we come down the Mtn to meet you all in the morning...
My T/A is offically in the tranny shop for the TC, unfortunately I ordered the wrong one(I ordered a lock up one for 82-84 700R4 27 spline) Apparently my old tranny guy put a 84-newer in it(he just said it had the '92 case on it) and I think I need the 30 spline so that should be here in about days and my car will finllay be running after 8 months !
And hopefully Alex will be bringing out his RS with all new suspension-front and rear, LCAs, SFCs, new hood, etc... I dont know how i would keep up with him So whos going? http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...20_47_full.jpg At the food place in Big Bear http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...20_48_full.jpg Meeting up at bottom of the Mtn before the cruise http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...20_49_full.jpg Pulling into the food place http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...20_50_full.jpg The view behind me
PS-I tried to post this on SC3G but it keeps saying invaild session when I click the submit button???

Evantually Ill be putting on some chrome Z06 wheels, but thats after new motor and suspension upgrades...
They have been on the car for the last 8 months, BUT the car has been parked infront of my house for those 8 months with a broke tranny! Once I put those rims on I got to drive it a whole 3 days before the TC died |

Car: Moving... Engine: Running... Transmission: Shifting... | I know I would still like to go, pretty sure that Rusty will be going as well, as well as possibly another friend with a 4th gen. Actually still have to side which generation to show up in, but lets see if we can all agree on a caravan location for those of us in the Inland Empire. How about Ontario Mills at 8:00am? |

Engine: 305 TPI (LB9) Transmission: WC T-5 | Back from the dead! (I'll explain later...) Just saw this thread- guess I had better get crackin' on the 'vert over the next few weeks... that $7k tax return is gonna come in handy!
Question for Lon (or anyone else that cares to chime in): What spring/shock setup do you run on your 'vert? I know you have Bilsteins, but the softer or harder ones? my AGX/H&R setup has got to go... nice ride height, but that's about it. I was thinking Bilsteins/Eibach pro-kit. Hope to see you all later in the month!

Bilstein HD shocks struts. It turns out these are the wrong ones to use with lowering springs, regardless the front struts are the same it is the rear shocks that have too long of a stroke.
Bad news, I think the quota of convertibles has already been met. I've paid the registration, but I still need to get a smog check on my 'vert, so maybe you'll be OK.

So would I get the HD struts and Sport rear shocks? Is there really a quota on 'verts, or is Lon just goofin'?? If they don't want me to grace their cruise with on the last IROC's to roll off of the line (12/89), I'll just take my ball and go home... ![]() | | | |
