Car: Agood2.8, Engine: V6rsr, Transmission: Afrikingoodtime | No, but I whisper to her often and caress her. I'd rather not be on a first named basis due to the fact that I have a wife already. I tend to use discriptive verbage such as "don't fail me baby", or "hang in there gorgeous" when I'm on edge and my life is at risk. |

I am pretty much right on with this post, no formal naming. My cars usually all get a shorthand quick title, my IROC is the IROC, my SS, is just the SS, when I had a 92 RS Convertible, it was the vert. As you can see a very crafty naming convention But other than that I subscribe pleading with my car like Han Solo does with the Millenium Falcon |

'Cause it kinda stands still (flyin) when you hit the gas and only roast's the tires before it heads off.
Nah, just kidding, I usually don't name my cars, as of yet anyway. Easiest name for my car to pronounce would be Pontiac. |

Car: Badass 1991 Firebird Engine: Screamin' 305 TBI Transmission: 700R4 Axle/Gears: 2.73, 3.42's waiting to go in! | Poncho. Just Poncho. And yes, don't tell my therapist, but I talk to it. :lala:
Note: the study of quantum physics has shown that matter is not solid at all, just different forms of the same energy, and that thoughts and words play a part in shaping our reality (since they are another form of the same energy). Have you seen a film called "What the Bleep Do We Know" ? Explains this stuff. Anyway, I think talking to your car in a positive way makes it run better. It's alive!
Eg. When I went to do my first mod, for the first time ever, the hood wouldn't open. The car is also shy around mechanics, go figure. |

That means he will call his car a girl or a boy, and switch whenever he feels like it.

Car: '86 Burly and '85Coupe F-41, 383 St Engine: V6, 383 Stroker Transmission: 700r4 | I found that you have to name them when you have more than one. I'm still trying to figure out the best names and then sometimes I still get them confused. It's probably like having two girlfriends at the same time although I've never done that... :nono: My other cars seem to break down when I spend money on the other. I almost had to rent a car when I had the engine and tranny redone.
Right now I'm calling the '86 "Burly" and the '85 "the F-41" even though it doesn't mean much I think it sounds good. If I get her repainted I think I'll play up the F-41 because most people don't know what it is.
If I ever get a 1LE I'll have to call "her" Elle. |

| Well,
I just call my bird the "bat out of hell"!
Although I do play the "Ride of the Valkyries" while I take her out to play!
And yes, I do talk to her! Like almost everytime she "spanks" another car! Like Vipers! Ha!

In loving memory of Donna Cervantes. My mom. She never got her 3rd gen she was saving up for. ILMODC, or pronounced il-maude is my 1987 TA. ILMODC II, is my 1995 TA.
Actually, my mom fell in love with her boyfriends brother in law 1977 TA that she got to borrow while he was out of town. While we did have an eye out for a late model 3rd gen, technically the true ILMODC was a late model 2nd gen.
She passed away in 1991.
ILMODC - A current Work in progress....
ILMODC II - for sale on ebay right now.......LOL... |
