I put my car on a dyno today

Today, I decided to put my car on the dyno.

I went to Superior Automotive and put it through two runs

Specs: 1989 GTA 5.7 Automatic 104K miles...(100% Stock) has an flowmaster exhaust more load than anything else I think

MAX Power 207.4 RWHP
MAX Torque 285.2 RWTQ

Are these OK numbers or not?

How much did they charge ya?

You also have an intake airfoil on the throttle body and a KN filter.

Doing a lot better than the advertised horsepower. I believe it was 235HP and 330Tq according to my Pontiac brochure for 1989 at the motor. So considering a 20% loss for the A4 you have 259.25HP and 356.5 Torque at the motor. Very good. Now you need to take it to the track for some baseline runs. We will be at Fontana Saturday for some runs. You are welcome to join us. Allen

Hey your right... I know there is a K&N, I don't know what the airfoil is though. The motor is strong it seems to me. They charged me $75.00 for the dyno. I am trying to figure out what to do for more power. I am getting 3.73 gears put in Thurs. I will report how those turn out. Do you know where I can get a key for my wheels?

Well if your looking for more power let me suggest a complete exhaust system from Dyno Don including his headers. He does the best I have seen. Allen

The 3" exhaust is good if done correctly and another mod. Hehehe. Do you have one or two cats? Anyways from the headers to the cats. Again if the 3" is done right. Go by Don's shop and he can give you the details and show you the parts. Allen

I looked in my toolbox and I have your wheel key still!

You can stop by and pick it up if you want. I'll even give you a ride in the Turbo TA Do you have my phone # still?

The airfoil helps direct the airflow into the throttle body.

Bring your dyno graphs when you come over, I'm interested to see them.

I actually had to have them break the locks from the rear and had to buy new bolts. No big deal, just thought I can save the front from going through the same. I do not have your number, please email me, we can get together.
