Uh ohhhhh...

...this may be the beginning of the end.

On the way home tonight I noticed my oil psi was waaaaaay low. Literally just above 0psi at idle and barely 20psi under throttle.

It was low on oil, but even still, I shouldn't be seeing those kind of numbers. Even after topping off the oil, the psi is idling at around 20psi and doesn't climb much higher.

The engine sounds and runs fine, but it looks like my oil pump may be dying. At 175,600+ miles the old L98 may be on the way out. I may be getting a truck sooner than I planned.

Oil

Most likely the sending unit.

That is a possibilty and certainly the cheaper fix. I'll probably put a new one in this weekend and see if that's the trouble.

Remember when that happened to me on one of our cruises in the mountains? My oil pressure suddenly dropped to similar numbers as you posted. Hopefully your problem is just the sending unit, too.
