Interesting...

Well I was looking though the 92 pictures and cheese_kake's picture intrigued me. The picture he is claiming is of his car is of the car that is sitting in front of my house. Taken about 4 years ago in front of my grandmothers house and owned by my buddy... Im kinda flattered that he would want to claim it for his own... Unfortunately she doesn't look that purdy no more.

Of which.... Anyone here have any suggestions for re-painting my car? Where have you had yours painted and were you happy with the results? Im kinda nervouse sending my car off to someone and having a bigger mess to fix later down the line. Although thats all that needs to be done and she looks 100% again.

there's a guy on the board, blackbird20. his avatar pictures is actually my car. not a similar looking one....my car. lol.

when I paint I use a ready to spray mix from a Dupont. the stuffs awesome. just remember, wheather you're doining the painting or someone else, you wanna make sure the wet sanding is done right. that seems to be the place the gets overlooked. that orange peel is not becoming of our cars.

You cannot buy the same paint in So Calif that is sold in other states. Thank the AQMD.
The paint you get here is fast dry lottsa orange peel. requires 4 or 5 coats of clear which you then sand 3 off.

didn't think about that. what's the law all about in california with the type of paint? I've got a friend that moved out there and said that there is some kind of law that you can't use the same type of paints in california that we can everywhere else.

yeah california sucks with all of their bi-laws and mumbo jumbo about what you can and can't do. It seems to be becoming a dictator state more and more everyday. I don't know if I have the skill to be painting the car myself. I have actually never tried to do something like that. Im pretty handy with a spray can but Im sure we've all seen those 3rd gens and thats a big no no.

as for the avitar he is using the same pic of my car for his avitar too. I don't know whether to be flattered or call him out.
