Car: '90 Trans Am-12.63@108.69 Engine: 355 w/E-Tec 200's Transmission: Tremec T-56 Axle/Gears: 12 Bolt 3.73 | Fontana aftermath... I guess it was my turn...I broke my toy (DD).
Conditions weren't that bad but we all had fun until my mishap.
I recorded a 12.87 & a 12.89 and was going for broke on the next one (no pun intended) then the rear end let go (posi I think) so I guess that's one of those that got away. Allen got a new best in front of me on that session so I was hoping (shrugg).
Vince wanted me to check out his rear end, so I did, I found out what was wrong ...oops sorry Vince. At least now you know what was wrong with it.
AAA was going to be 2-3 hours so we went and got the trailer, that cost us a chance to make the meeting (sorry guys) but a big thank you to those that stayed to help me.
And congrats to Alex for making a couple of rounds in his first bracket race, and to Allen for his new personal best.
Also, we found a new way to get to and from the track to avoid traffic (better scenery too, sans the smell of the meadow muffins) it might have been a little faster also.

I liked Bakersfield better as it is more layed back and not as many cars. So maybe this winter we can make another trip up there. Probably should bring the trailer. |

I was disappointed with my times and driving yesterday. Hopefully I'll do better next time.
I just realized that if I didn't red light on my last pass I would have won since the other car broke out. |

Remember the first or worst rule I mentioned, if you red light he is allowed to run flat out so he can decide if he needs to dial down for the next round. |

I was looking at my old times slips. I went to three or four drag races before I got out of the 15's and 2.3 60' and that was with a 350! Also I started racing 3 years ago, this weekend and I STILL can't do a burnout worth a darn. Quote:

edit: Allen your car rocks! I liked watching Don vs Nurse Rachet in the ambulance. Don was getting excellent 60's

I bet he thought he was going to catch me.... NOT |

One broken left side axle gear and a little twist in the axle.
I did have the parts and it's all fixed. Quote: |

| Re: Fontana aftermath... He didn't just build this one. It was Vincent's 9 bolt. Vince heard a noise in it, but they couldn't get it to replicate and Don couldn't see anything wrong with it, until it broke. |
