Car: 2002 Camaro z28 Engine: LS1 Transmission: 4L60E Axle/Gears: 2.73 stock, stock, stock | A part of me died last night... Namely, my car. T-boned in the parking lot of Cal State Fullerton the other night by a Yellow Cab. Anyone know of a 89-92 Firebird/Trans am with a 350 for sale? I'm looking to pay around 22-2500 (goodbye savings).

Oh man sorry to hear that. I also went to that school and know how hectic it can be in that parking lot. Wow ... what a turn of events. Hope he had insurance and that you kept all your receipts. Good luck with your hunt man.

I know those CSUF parking lots can be a nightmare, but you'd think a Taxi driver would know better! At least from the picture, it doesn't look like a hit and run. Hopefully you can salvage a lot from this car. |

Sorry for your loss. Grab as many goodies off of it as you can.

In the long run, this will actually save me a couple of bucks. This is a 3.1 that I bought in college to save on gas money. I fell in love with my KITT, and planned on doing an engine swap someday. Now that I'm starting over, I'll find a Formy or a Trans Am.
Is it me, or are there a ton of Third Gens in the San Diego Area?? I've been on Craigslist every day and everything for sale is in S.D! I made the trek last weekend to look at a 5.0, and I'll probably make it out again this weekend to look at a 5.7. Wish me luck! |

In looking at the pic, it looks like a new door and some paint and you'd be okay (then it's not that clear of a pic). You could probably get a door at a junkyard for pretty cheap. The rail (where you'd get your frame damage) doesn't look touched - but then again, maybe it's just a shadow.
Then again, I bought '98 Camaro that had been t-boned just because I had a door that would fit it at the shop, lol. |

What you can't really see is that the door latch took the rear quarter panel with it. The door jam near the rear wheel well is smashed in with the door. Since the car is unibody construction, I believe they'd have to cut that whole section off and replace it. Either way, the door would never close right again.
It's kinda like Bishop in Alien 3--"If I can't be top of the line, I'd rather not exist". |

According to the carfax, it's originally an Oxnard car.
