My new Curmostrange Wolfandme

Some new parts from Currie, Moser, Strange, Wolfe and Me.
Just need Moser to send the right axle bearings and locker to finish it.

The axles are 35 spline and gun drilled.
The housing is a Currie ultra-Lite 18.8 lbs and the aluminum Moser third member has a ring gear was cut I.D, O.D. and on the backside.

Very very nice. Looks like the stock style torque arm is going bye bye. Are you going to use a type of ladder set up?

Good eye, Thats the next thing to do on it. I had to drop the third member in the housing to see how to make the torque arm mounting brackets fit around it.
The mounts will be like Moser has on the M9 F-body rear.

For the parts and workmanship on this order from Currie was very good.

Now for Currie's salesmanship and product knowledge you can get better and faster help at the DMV.

"Moser M9 Torque Arm Assembly is not intended for the daily driver, but is manufactured with the 10 second cars and faster in mind."

Looks like Jerry has his eye on the 9-10 second bracket. I see the price of the torque arm assembly is only $1915.

Thats a lot more than Alex pays for his third gens. Hahaha.

Re: My new Curmostrange Wolfandme

So the purpose of the 7/8" hole is?
A. allows more twist before it snaps
B. requires more diff grease.
C. all of the above.

Thats a pretty good sized hole in a ~1.5" shaft.

Re: My new Curmostrange Wolfandme

Presuming its a 1.5" axle, the hole makes it 12% weaker if it were to twist and break. 35% more chance to shear off at the bearing but they use a harder material and the OD of the axle is larger than most of the stock ones too.

They say on their website recommended for cars up to 1,850 #. I dont think Jerry is that light, yet.

The axles are a total of 60" long, so a .875 hole is 2.044 lbs per ft. or 10.22 lbs total lighter then solid 35 spline axles.

The GM PP Dana 44 I had in the car is 170.25 lbs
The 9 inch rear (no ford parts used) is 140.75 lbs

29.5 lbs less and I think just a little stronger.
