just bought a 1989 GTA

Hey,

I just bought a 1989 GTA 5.7L with only 37,000 miles on it for $2500

The interior looks brand new except for the drivers seat where you can see he got in and out. The paint has a few chipped spots because it was sitting out in there driveway for 7yrs rotting away.

I had to buy a new battery, change a freeze plug and the cat had come loose and making a loud rattle noise.
gonna do a tune up on it and im good to go.

Here is some pics of how i bought it and then some pics after my son washed it.

thanks
Mike

Looks pretty nice. Good price for the low milage. You may want to join the club. I have a 1989 GTA myself. We have a cruise planned for Saturday the 26th.

Looking good! Was the rattle on the cat a loose connection to the pipe, or internally rattling? A cat the rattles when you shake it, is a dead cat.

$2500 is a hell of a deal for a car with mileage that low!

A full detail would probably make that thing look nearly new.

Mike, if you are able to make the cruise, please post to the thread "Anza Borrego Cruise". I need a car count to know how many maps to print out and a head count of all who are going to join us for breakfast so I can give Denny's a reservation.
