I would like to invite you all to join me at Knott's Berry Farm on Friday May 2nd in celebration of my birthday. The park is open from 10am to 6pm, and there are discount coupons for $28.99 at Burger King. I know its a Friday and not everyone can get off from work, but there will be a dinner at Mrs Knott's chicken restaurant at 7pm if you can make that. Please post if you want to come, because if we get more than 12 we'll need to make a reservation at the restaurant.
Knott's Berry Farm is located in Buena Park, CA near the 91 and 5 freeway interchanges on Beach Blvd. http://www.knotts.com/ |

Car: 1991 GTA Engine: maybe Transmission: maybe not Axle/Gears: the original 3.23 | Re: My birthday Friday May 2nd I saw a neat program on one of the local channels on how they do maintenance on the rides at Knotts. I realized I haven't been there in about 3 years! That new roller coaster with the spinning seats looks awesome!
I have to be at work by 4 but I decided it is worth it to go for a few hours with those new rides! If it is still happening. |

Hope you have a great time at that berry farm! I'd love to go but work has me tied up. C'est la vie. How old are you now? Can you buy us beer yet or do we have to wait in front of a liquor store and hit some one up as they walk in?
hahaha those where the days! Well take care and Happy Birthday

My first time riding Sierra Sidewinder, Silver Bullet and Perilous Plunge. It's a good thing I had a change of clothes since we got pretty soaked. I was on the left side of the boat, Kevin on the right side. I got wetter than Kevin for some reason. I'd have ridden it again, but that was the only ride that had a substantial wait (roughly 35 minutes). They were only running one boat.
It was hotter than I'd anticipated. I thought I packed shorts in my backpack, but it turned out to be another pair of jeans. While on the steam train we got robbed! Yea big surprise. I overheard the banter between the robber and Kevin. The robber handed Kevin his gun, telling him he looked married so he could put himself out of his misery. The masked robber then asked how long they'd been married? Kevin replied "about a year and a half", to which the robber feigned not to hear him over the train noise and said "sorry?". Kevin repeated his answer, to which the robber replied, "I heard you the first time, I said I'm sorry". Laughs all around. I felt sorry for the young couple in front of me. The robber told the guy he could tell he didn't have any money or he'd have a prettier girlfriend. Ouch! I guess the robbers are on hard times, they didn't fire a single shot while robbing the train. We were on the last train in the mine ride, but luckily the bridge held out until we made it across.
I didn't get to the park until 2, but still got to ride Sierra Sidewinder, Silver Bullet, Perilous Plunge, bumper cars, log ride, stagecoach, steam train, mine train and sombreros.
I parked on the west side of the park in the grass lot on Western. The lot was open, but no parking attendants, so parking was free. I was a bit concerned whether my car would still be there or not afterward though (it was). The gate was locked, but not a problem, just drive around the gate onto the sidewalk and out. A fun day with perfect weather topped off by dinner with Kevin and Stephanies families. Thanks for the invitation Kevin and Happy Birthday!

We're still debating if we'll spend our tax return money on new Disneyland passes, or use it to pay some bills (the more responsible, practical choice )
I think we'll have another pool party and bbq at our place in July or August, though. |

When I was a kid they would come in yelling and popping off some 1/2caps, which are loud enough in that small area.
Then antigun PC came along and in the last 20 years of going there I have never seen them even draw their guns or talk to anyone. In fact we were on the train about 4 years ago and the guns were in the holsters and the indian statues on the hill just outside the station are gone. |
