My engine is back in my car, so we will be setting up another dyno day in a few weeks.
All those interested, get your projects ready and post up here if you want to attend.
Kevin will be available to do the tuning.

I might be ready in a few weeks, but getting any rapid progress on my projects is problematic while working 6+ days a week.

The local place is in Westminster.
I'd like to dyno and see whether or not the fuel issue was solved, and if the numbers I got at the Invasion were due to just driver error.

Dyno Day is a day where Kevin's shop opens it's doors to our cars for tuning and dyno testing. As a group, we get discounted rates or so i've heard.

Re: Dyno Day
Its not my shop, its a shop in Westminster with an in-ground dyno that we use.
The dyno time is around $75-80 an hour. If you've paid me for a chip from me before then my tuning time is included (tips are appreciated). If you havent bought a custom chip from me before then we'd need to discuss that before hand.

I'm planning to be there. When is the date? Was this posted on both boards? I thought I replied already, but don't see my post. The Firebird should be ready for it's 500 mile oil change by the time of the dyno day.

How about Aug 8th? I'm thinking if it takes about an hour to get each car loaded on the dyno and tuned, we will be limited to 8-10 cars. I definitely need to get the GTA done, but was hoping to get Don to swap me to speed density beforehand...

OK guys (and gals), I spoke to Mark @ MD: we are go for 9am on Aug 8th.
Baseline dyno run is $60
Dyno runs w/tuning are $80/Hr, and can be broken into 1/2 hr segments. Plan on an hour minimum if you are tuning.
We need to get a head count. Please add your name if you want dyno time on Aug 8th. If you are just doing a baseline run, please indicate that.

If you have done anything to the intake side, even a high-flow air filter, you will be amazed what a good tune will do. If you haven't, you need to.

I have the stock intake and filter. I was thinking of going with an SLP intake. Does K&N make an intake for my car? Thanks for the help.

K&N makes only a drop-in filter, but K&N's are low restriction at the cost of not filtering very well. SLP used to make 2 different intake kits for the F-cars, but I know at least one of them is out of production and no longer available. The have been discontinuing 3rd gen stuff to dedicate their resources to fourth gen and New 5th gen Camaro stuff, which sells much better.
