Re: brake question

2 possiblities: Your booster has a big vacuum leak, and when you push the pedal, it creates a big vacuum leak in the engine. Usually that does not kill the motor, but it might if you have a big cam and weak vacuum at idle.

The other is that you have a leak in the rear seal of your master cylinder, and it is actually sucking the fluid from the brake master into the engine. Not common, but it can kill the engine. Is there any fluid residue dripping down the brake booster from where the master cylinder plugs into it?

Neither of these will kill the engine if the engine is otherwise in a good state of tune, so you probably have more than one problem, not uncommon in a 40 year old car.

Not trying to be a **** or anything but this is a third gen site not a first gen site.
Someone on the forums below (found after a quick Google search) might be able to better help you with your questions.
