Nice. Are they just a factory wheel with an added stepped lip?
The wheels are done by turning down a stock wheel to just the center and then fit inside a billet 17 inch wheel. the center is press fit and welded just like the factory GTA and all Billet specialties, Boyd, Budnick and others. The hard part was finding a 17 wheel with the right ID to press the center in. The finished wheel is only 1 pound more then a stock 16X8 wheel, not bad for a 17X9 1/2.
So I take it this method could be done with Crosslace and Formula wheels as well?
Yes and No. The factory Crosslace wheel has a center thats only 13.5 inch OD so it will only fit in 15 and 16 inch billet wheels, so no 17 inch Crosslace. Now the Formula wheel, I have not cut one down to see what it will fit in.
Some years back I tried to do that but could only get them widened not increased diameter.
Turned out for the best, as these newstolgia wheels I like better.
So theres a way of getting rimr widend? Like i want to do that to mine if possible?
Tony.

Quoted to me by them "150.00 per wheel if you provide donors. 200.00 if we provide donors. takes 2-*3 working days, 100.00 for the refinishing of the wheel.so you will be looking at 300.00 total per wheel. plus 27.50 shipping, no tax"

What do you mean "100 for refinishing of the wheel"? Do you mean for the outside of the wheel, or like clear coating it or is it something else? I'm wondering if you could get away with only spending 150 or 200 a peace without the refinishing, and then not do it, or just do it yourself.
Awesome and the perfect diameter and width. You are definitely the man! I'd be down for a set as well and have a set of donor wheels for the centers ready to go.
Jerry it is a shame you can't be twins. You could easily start a second business with all of the stuff you have fabricated over the years. It is a shame you need to sleep once in a while!

i think its a great finish product. its always fun to fabricate and be different with one-off type stuff.
just curious why you chose those wheels?

I think these are a ton nicer than the Boyd set. The fit and finish is second to none. Excellent job. Now my next question.............................wanna build me a set? lol I've even got the wheels to send you to get started on,lol

Sorry...I never got a Reply Notice about your question.
The refinishing was the powdercoating & lip polishing.
$876.83 for parts and outside labor and 17 hours of my time with my lathe, mill, Tig welder, rotary grinder and paint gun.
parts... I'm assuming that you bought someone's existing rim hoops... who's/where did you buy them from? Do you have a close up picture of the front of the wheel where the hoop and the center come together?

Can you fit a larger brake rotor behind those? Like a 17" size brake setup or are you still limited to a 16" rim size brake?
Right now I have 12 inch LS1s on the car and the caliper is about 3/4 of a inch away from the wheel. 13 inch rotors will be no problem and i think the 13.4 inch Z51 rotors will also fit and will try to install them after the car gets back from getting painted.

Wow....I never got another single Reply Notice on this thread, so I never saw this question or even the other replies. The TGO site does seem to be pretty bad about sending out Reply notices.
Anyways.....The refinishing was the powdercoating I had done. So without the powdercoating, it coulda been just the $200 per wheel (i let them supply the donor wheels).
Time to make some in 17 X 11 for the rear of my car to cure the lack of traction problem it has, so with the all the equipment setup i can run a set or two at the max for others. The cost is 1,200 to 1,500 a set depending on the size, finish and if i supply the core wheels.
Jerry, I asked for your contact info in april and never got a reply, please send it to me @ mikesanto70@yahoo.com I want a set made for my 92' L98 Heritage Please get back with me asap
The wheels are just a chunk of aluminum, so if you machine them true and round it can't be to far out of balance. The last set we mounted a set of Kumho XS tires on and the guy mounting the tires gave me a bad time about my request to have the tires mounted with the orange balance dot on the tire at the valve stem and then he was shocked when he balanced them and one tire needed 3/4 oz and one needed 1/2 oz and last two needed no weights The tire shop said it was just blind luck, i don't think so.
