Nitrous or Nitrous Oxide is the gas that you are using, as an oxidizer to help burn the additional gasoline you also need to put into the motor. Use"giggle gas" (Nitrous Oxide is otherwise known as "laughing gas" by dentists) or even N20 (the chemical designation) is better. What time is this thing supposed to go off Mike?

I use the term "NOS" because I am clueless about "NOS" I am on my third phase and no nothing more than Basic engine Repair,Brakes and Undercar. I have much to learn, Thanks for the insight! this is why I am going to school...

I had to work late, so I missed the parade. And a pat on the back to Z28 Enthusiast for admitting he doesn't know instead of the common ploy of copping an attitude. A very smart person told me early on that acting like you know it all prevents you from learning as well as demotivates others from sharing their knowledge with you, so the more you think you know, the harder it is to learn, and those that are most successful never stop learning.

You can count me in if Tom Lee gets my new steering gear and pump done this week.
Sorry for not posting sooner, I was in Texas for the Busch brothers show at TMS.
I would ask that everyone attending please share the responsibility of bringing wood for the bonfire. Most supermarkets, drug stores, etc. sell little bundles of wood for a couple bucks each. If we all bring a bundle then we should have more than enough to last us well into the evening. Additionally an abundance of free firewood can be found in the ‘free’ section on craigslist. Just remember, no pallets, nails, staples, metal bands, etc. HB has a strict policy against this.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
If it is okay with you guys I am bring two people and my little sister with me to the meeting. They are all fans of camaro especailly my two friend.
Can I have someones opinion on something. Yesterday I went to check out this 84 camaro they had for sell. When I test the car out it ran great with the 305 H.O. engine and the 5 speed transmission. But I don't know if $1400 is a lot for the car. It does need some parts as bumpers, lights, body work, and has some rust in the engine bay, tires, etc. To have it drivable it would cost about another $2000 to have it in a driving condition. Do you think it is worth the $1400 or should trty to find another camaro

I know of an 84z with a rear wiper going for 1400 in costa mesa. Its black, real clean too, its been for sale for months. Maybe you should check that one out. I dont remember too well but I am 90% sure it is stick.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
I don't mind if it is stick or auto. It just has to have a V8 in it and has to look in a drivable condition. The car will be for a friend. She is learning stick and is well at at. Do you know where the car is located at or have some more information to go check the car out and see if it is something she likes.

It's going to depend on how many cars show up. If it's just a handful then 91 / 57 / 5 / 55 / PCH. If we have a large turnout then it will be 91 / 55 / PCH. It's the long way around but much easier to keep everyone together for the cruise.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
It looks like the weather is going to be in our favor tomorrow. High of 66* in Anaheim and around 57*-53* in Huntington Beach between 6 and 9pm. A little on the cool side, but perfect for what we are looking to do.
I’m going to bring my mini dv and car mount so I can get some cruise footage, introductions, and vehicles to put a video together and post it for everyone to enjoy. So with that said make sure and clean your cars because they will be immortalized on film.
Just a few reminders before the get together tomorrow:
We are ultimately going to end up at the beach so remember to bring chairs, blankets, jackets, and/or anything else that will make you and yours comfortable while enjoying a cool evening at the beach.
It’s a bonfire so you are welcome to bring items to make smores, beverages, peanuts, etc.
Wood for the bonfire of course.
FRS radios so we can stay in contact with each other while motoring from Sonic to the beach. If you don’t have a radio don’t worry there will be several extras that we can lend out.
I will be heading down to the beach mid-morning to reserve the fire pit for the evening. As soon as I have the actual location I will post it on the board for those of you that can’t make it to Sonic but will be joining us later at for the bonfire. If you can't get to a computer, just give me a call.
As always, if you have any questions or if there is any additional information I might be able to provide you with please don’t hesitate to ask. Call or text me anytime 714-713-0768
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Ok, our fire pit is just past lifeguard tower 11. It is the last one before the RV park. Use the Beach Boulevard and PCH entrance, make a right into the parking lot, and drive all the way down to near the exit.
I'll see you guys at Sonic, good times...
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
What time aprox do you think you'll leave Sonics?
I might be able to make it after all, Turns out my girlfriend broke her left leg late thursday night and had surgery on it yesterday and will still be in the hospital. My plans have changed and am now open...I think. I do not think they will release her tonight yet.
I am working today, I will have to try and get the truck out in time and clean it.

Rare I have a free Saturday night.
Well first and foremost, best wishes to your girlfriend and a speedy recovery.
I'm thinking we will leave Sonic between 445 and 5 which will give us plenty of time at the beach. Give me a call if you're able to make it so I can bring you up to speed on where we are.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
just go off of work, not gonna make it by the time I get down there you guys will be gone for sure, I still have to shower, and its like a 30-45min. drive for me sorry guys Maybe the next one!
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Nice turnout, lots of new faces and hopefully they will become regular faces.
It was cold at Sonic, but seemed warmer at the beach - doesnt make sense but I wasnt the only one to say that. Maybe the huge bonfire and camaraderie made it seem warmer.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Just wanted to thank you to everyone that participated in the meet/cruise yesterday. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to hang out especially those of you that traveled significant distances.
A special thanks to our surprise guests Jimmy the beer can Fearn (James85Z28) and The Dean (Vetruck) for hanging out with us.
I was happy to see lots of new cars/faces and again would like to say welcome to the family, you are amongst friends here. Great cars, great conversation, great people, great time!
Next up is our club Christmas part at Buca di Beppo in Huntington Beach on Saturday December 5, 2009 at 7PM. I will be posting a number of polls shortly regarding course selection so we can put our order in before we get to the restaurant on the day.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Had a good time, nice pics... who has the pics when we were leaving for the cruise, I would like to see them too. It was fun cruising with you guys, sorry I couldnt go to the bonfire but I had already committed to other plans.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Good times, glad i went.It was a pleasure the new members & seeing farmiliar faces. The beach was not as cold as Sonics, as mentioned. Can't wait for the next event.
Anyone notice that sign.I know they mean the street, but lemon could also stand for the car."Lemon test only"
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
I would have made it but I'm currently doing a auto to manual trans swap. But I heard through the grapevine that my engine will be ready real soon. Just in time to go to the end of the year dyno.
Oh by the way, will somebody tell Jerry that custom wheels needs tire dressing on the tires for the wheels to stand out.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Only 1 gripe.....we left Sonics at basically rush hour so the freeway changeovers were too full of other traffic to buzz Mikey around them.
Oh were my feet icthin'.
Next time baby, you'll see a pewter blur in a high speed 4 wheel drift out and around you on that 91-55 changeover.... That little wing ain't just for looks. but like you said, you did suspect I'd be comin' if traffic gaps allowed the speed- just no room to safely jam it around there at speed.
Rick, again want to compliment you on your taillight idea. You Camaro really had a neat look to it at night on the freeway.
I had a nice time. It would be fun to meet casually like that down there even if we walked to main street to catch a sports event on TV at Fred's or such. I am usually down at Laguna or HB at least one night a week for cheap taco's or such.
ps- Lisa is back home and doing fine...with a walker. I gotta go sticker it up with racing stickers.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
I had a great time at sonic getting to know new people and checking out their camaro/firebird to bad for me I couldn't go for the cruise for the fire, I got stuck with the little sister. Maybe next time when I get a break from work, I am starting to work full time. I will be checking out for the stautes on the next meeting.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Just as I feared, my car is still stuck in the shop (story of my life). I just had my seats redone - what better way to break them in than cruising with f-bodies. Looks like you guys had a pretty good turnout there. Hope to see you guys at the Xmas dinner.
Re: Get Together and Twilight Cruise @ Sonic in Anaheim Next Month
Dude don't even worry about it. I take care of my mom too and have spent many a night on the floor next to her hospital bed. Family always comes first. Give her my best and take care of yourself...
